Hell doesn't exist.

But that's a topic for another thread.

Wasn't replying to that. Just can't understand how a mother allows that. That was my original intent.

Maybe you replied to the wrong person?

Which is too bad. I like talking about the after-life, religion, etc...I don't know why they won't allow an all things religious board here.

Not really. It took 10 years to exicute this scum. The victim was 9 years old when she was murdered. Today she would be 19. Its hard to call that justice.

The average cost of an inmate is $80,000 per year. So this murderer cost the tax payers $800,000. When you really think about that it shoes you how fricked up justice system is.

This is a case where an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth would have served better.

There is no compassion on this board for what this woman endured as a child herself? Not excusing what she did but these things do not occur in a vacuum. She was severely abused and the same society that condemned her to death did nothing to help her when she herself needed it. Justice my arse!

Compassion and justice aren't mutually exclusive. At some point in adulthood, someone who has experienced abuse can choose to seek help. If they choose not to do so and instead choose to harm others, it's perfectly "compassionate" toward future potential victims to make sure she doesn't harm anyone else.

If you read her bio it sounds like she already endured a personal hell as a child.
Funny that being gay is a learned behavior but all murderers were born evil. Must be blissful to live in such a black and white world.

If there's really such a thing as hell than God should be there himself for being all-powerful yet allowing millions of mortals to suffer for eternity. Bigger jerk than Hitler for doing that.

What produces this kind of evil in people? I seriously don't understand how people could do things like this to another person, especially a child. People killing people in cold blood, beheadings (not just ISIS), torture. I just can't fathom what is going through their minds.

I agree with the previous poster. People like this should not walk this earth.

An all-powerful God allows it to happen.

So for the same all-powerful God to then not prevent the atrocities and further - to pass judgement - on these acts is worse than the acts themselves.

There really cannot be a literal hell.

Read her fricking bio! She was severely abused as a child herself.
