So you don't think humans learn from errors and change their norm? Do you believe most white people would revert to slavery if it were legal today?

I believe societal norms and culture have improved, and to a large degree, they dictate man's behavior, but man's innate nature is the same today as it was 2000 years ago.

I will agree with that statement. However, Europeans being anti-Semitic and Americans being racist are things that have been directly affected by societal norms, no?

As expected, no one can give me a reason that slavery is a bad call.

Typical of this board.

This thread title is kind of misleading, BTW. It wasn't a store policy, it was some retard at the checkout line.

A human with education and civil rights should provide more utility to society than an enslaved human.

...

...

Should.

You may have a point with aborigines, but I haven't been around enough of them to know for sure. Anyway, that's besides my main point. I can look at a White person and distinguish between Mediterranean descent and Scandanavian descent, but I can't pinpoint specifically which region or country in southern Europe or northern Europe that person comes from. It's the same with Ashkenazis, you might be able to tell which part of Europe that person is from, assuming he's not a mut like most Americans are, but you can't look at him tell whether he's a Jew or a Gentile.

Sorry for quoting all of of your post but I think as a whole it's very telling. Why are you so insistent on pigeon holing people by race and ethnicity? You look at people and try to determine whether they're of Mediterranean or Scandinavian ancestry? It's a common trait among many on the left, to pigeonhole people like you do and obsess over shite like this.

The extreme far right in some European countries is pretty bad. Then you have the far left looking for every chance to fight them.

Check out this vice video about the anti fascist left going after the extreme right.

I mean there are definitely conclaves of orthodox jews, but I am a jew living in south Louisiana, and i wear PFGs and cowboy boots.

My grandfather played basketball at Loyola in new orleans. There are tons of jews that completely assimilate into the culture they live in. You don't see them because they look any different.

The issue isn't intermarriage, as much as not raising your children jewish.

This. I am a victim of the silent holocaust. My Jewish mother married a catholic and I am now a practicing catholic who loves bacon. Score one for the gentiles!

Yeah, well it's the same problem in Europe as in the Middle East and Asia and everywhere else. Just not to the same degree. The Swedes or Irish or Spaniards feel they've all been there for 1000's of years, it's their homeland. The level of daily racism, cultural-ism, xenophobia or whatever is far greater than America. Really, the only truly multi-ethnic countries in the world that have a semblance of racial harmony are the United States and Brazil.

I can only speak of France as I've lived there part time the past 20 years. If you think the left doesn't hate Jews you're really misinformed. The statements I've heard from leftists are shocking.

No one is saying the left doesn't have racist elements in Europe b/c they do. Esp in Eastern Europe. Pretty much they are all left socially when it comes to leaching off the gov't but extreme right when it comes to being a racist and fascist.

Its a extremely vocal minority of the right in countries like Spain and Italy that act like this.

The UK for the most part has racial harmony but Americans don't think it does bc Brits of all races are blunt and not PC. Its just part of the culture here.

I would agree. I need to go back. You're there or you've been there recently, right? I've read a lot things about PC culture taking off in the last few years. Allowing sharia tribunals in a common law country, covering up Muslim crime rates, etc is pretty troubling

I spent two years in Germany and have been here since March.

I'm not really buying the Sharia law shite going on. This place when it comes down to it is British to the core regardless of race they are extremely nationalistic.
