you don't understand how the rant works. lsu has football players from Louisiana. put them on the field in any kind of formation and they win. it's so easy a monkey could do it. the rant says so

.Another Revisionist.
Yeah, Hilliard didn't have 2 rush TDs and catch another from JJ.
Blue didn't bust one for 50yd TD either.

Just playin' a little late-night "bump" and run.

I suspect that some may want to change their answers to the OP after Sat night's debacle.

Was commenting to my buddy in the stadium how during the fourth quarter when we were down by 3 possessions we would be regretting spending so much time dawdling to the line. Seemed like it was taking us close to the full forty seconds every time to get a play off. There was no sense of urgency whatsoever and this was troubling because we were squandering our only resource to get back into the game. Why we never have self awareness of our own clock needs in the 4th quarter is something I have never understood

Five seasons have come and gone since '08 of which only one can we say our O was good.
And it would be also true that in JL/JJ's senior year (2011), LSU's offense got the job done very well when JL was at the helm. But dropped off noticeably when JJ was re-inserted and hit its lowest point on 1/9/12.

How dare you talk bad about Miles' love of JJ.

Anyone paying attention saw the difference between the 2011 offense with JL running it versus JJ running it. Makes one wonder what Les was watching. As does the difference between these two QB's, yet he stubbornly insisted on trotting Jennings back out on Saturday series after three and out series until it was too late.

Let Les fricking coach, sheesh

I wish he would...he is paid enough.
No one can say that we went into this game "well coached" and prepared.

Every now and the after HE IS SHAMED BY A LOSS, he starts to actually coach and criticism stops because he starts winning....
sorry Les, you are paid to coach ALL GAMES, THE COMPLETE SEASON.. give up some lunch appearances.

Bumped again . . . why so you ask.

Because (IMO), more than anything else going on in our world of Tiger football it is this that keeps us from improving our W-L record and winning championships.

It is not recruiting, talent, or experience. We lost a lot. We still have a lot.
It is not that we need to find another OC or another OL coach (as disappointing as the OL has been).
It's not the I-formation, etc. You can still have an incredible diverse and proficient offense from an I-formation.
It's not the deficiency at DL (more of a recent phenomena and a concern but not THE concern).

It's that we concede about 2/3's of the passing game before the game ever kicks off. Why? Because ever since '08 Les does not want to allow for a repeat of the int fest that we saw. That's noble - to a point. But the trade-off isn't worth it.

I know, some will recall last year's O. It was productive, efficient, and refreshing. It was also simple and could afford to be. We had a 5th Yr QB, best WR tandem in CFB, and an incredible RB. If those are the pre-req's for Les to loosen up we can expect a good O in about 3 more years.

And we don't need another HC. We need this HC to put the ghosts of '08 behind him and let our O function like an O can.

Rant over.
