That's a reporter's account of the incident, not necessarily the cop's version.

Gun discharged and big boy ran and was told to "freeze" and he stopped and turned around and charged cop and cop fired until guy dropped. All hearsay,I know but that's what the caller said

This could be the scenario but it's different from this tape and doesn't explain how he got "from there to there".

For the two scenarios to be correct, you'd have to add two important parts.... The cops didn't say he ran away and the guy on the tape didn't say he was shot as he reached in the car.

Crime Scene Techs or Coroner bags the body.

You never cover the body because you can alter or transfer DNA, fibers, and other evidence, etc...

Patrol officers are instructed to secure the area and wait for crime scene techs and/or detectives to arrive and take control of scene and to not touch the body.

I am just repeating what the family friend said was the cops story. When listing to her about it,it sounded plausible. I know that it's only one side of the story.

Well the cops version has changed re him being a burglary suspect, so yeah we don't actually know Wilson's account. It could be that the cops left out the running away part.

FWIW, I think it's plausible the cop shot from close range, Brown ran wounded, turned, charged and the cop shot more. That's the only way to explain how Brown got "from there to there".

But then was Wilson firing as Brown was running away? Is that why Brown turned?

I dunno but from everything I've seen I don't know how anyone can conclude Wilson is exonerated or guilty.... Unless you want to believe either way.

I don't know the truth about what happened. Hopefully that will be revealed and justice will be appropriately dispensed.

What I got from this video was a lot of angry people. That's it.

?? The tales of the friend of the cop and mystery witness are exactly alike.

I just don't believe this officer would unload on a unarmed man running away. It defies logic.

Drugs. How does a kid go from bring described as a gentle giant to robbing a store and getting gunned down in minutes ? He was on something.

I was confused by the eyewitness's use of the word "truck" to describe the police vehicle. Was it a truck, a car, a SUV? Is "truck" some slang for a police car?

IDK. Might have been a SUV type vehicle.

Thank god for this because I was ill at the sight of the body not being covered as that's a violation of human dignity.

Could have escalated like this:

Cop tells Brown to get out of the street.
Brown walks up to the car and tells him to frick off there's nothing illegal about walking in the street.
Cop tells Brown to get out of his face and puts his hand on his gun.
(Lots of testosterone Yada yadas)
Brown says "what you gone do?" And grabs for the gun.
Cop shoots him.
Brown runs.

I could see that happening.

My question is did the cop continue firing as Brown ran?
