Something interesting from an onlooker at about the 6:15 mark... what's that I'm hearing?

A few snippets:

"That's the one that ran behind... because he ran up there where we was.. where we live at"

"How'd he get from there to there?"

"Because he ran"

"Why his body come this way though?"

"Next thing I know he's coming back towards the truck. Police had his gun drawn already. Police kept dumping on him. I'm thinking the police is, like, missing.."

At about 8:25

"the police was like at least 10 yards away from him.. I'm thinking... the dude is still standing... he's missing him... ... and he kept coming towards him"

Interesting stuff.

Interesting video but it's still doesn't prove anything. The guy in the video was just repeating what he "heard". The fact he said the cops stood over him after shooting once and shooting him some more shows some exaggeration.

Forensics will tell the story..I wish there was video of the actual incident. I think there may have been some foul play involved...shite like this happens a lot and it never sparks this much outrage so there had to be some witnesses who are credible.

Personally, I think the kid attacked the cop initially and went for his gun, which gave the cop reason to shoot. Then the kid ran and the cop, in his adrenaline rush and heat of the moment after shooting once already, shot him again without thinking.

No, there's a guy in the video who is telling the man with the camera that he saw the shooting.

That looks like a village in Germany I visited one time.

The "kid" is an adult that was 6'4", 290 lbs.

Can we stop using words that normally are used in reference to children when we are talking about an adult that was larger than an average SEC lineman?

Not pressing or intentionally being an arse. I've watched the video multiple times and have not heard anyone say "I saw what happened and it was x". The man in the video says several times "that's what they said". He also says he didn't see it, but heard the shots, as did the other guy. Can you post a timestamp of the time in the video?

This is a perfect example of gossip. It really adds no information either way.

I really hope we find out what really happened. Unfortunately, eyewitness testimony isn't always exactly accurate.

Start at 6:00

There's a man telling the camera man "they ran past me when I was coming out the house" then describes other things he saw.

No it's a perfect example of a guy who saw what happened.

Tussle at the truck. Brown runs away. Brown doubles back on the officer. Officer fires.

Why isn't the body covered? Why leave it uncovered in the street like that?

No reason for that.

I'm pretty sure the eyewitness says at 7:10 "the dude kept coming towards the police".

I was seeing an abridged video (CNN only 2-3 min). You have to scroll down to "wandy" to see the 10 min version. It's hard to hear everything, but it appears that Meaux's quotes are also accurate. This case is a mess no matter the outcome. I hope the forensics remain unbiased and either definitively clear or condemn the officer involved.

Unless there's some cop/forensics reason of which I am unaware, to leave the body uncovered out in the street like that seems totally disrespectful to the deceased and his family.

This video is pure hearsay which unfortunately means it's worthless outside of the court of popular opinion. I wish like hell a video of the entire incident were available. Then this whole situation would be cut and dry one way or another.

Eyewitness accounts are not hearsay. There's an eyewitness within the video.
