It's good stuff and extremely difficult to locate since they stopped bottling it. Tonight is a night befitting a drink of it....

Wow, been seeing the updates on FB.
It's a damn shame a fella like him had to go so early. I had the pleasure of meeting him before he was diagnosed with that dreaded disease and we struck up quite a friendship. I still remember him going on and on about that ulcer on his tongue that wouldn't go away. The Saturday before his diagnosis we went fishing and could barely talk it was bothering him so much.

About a month ago I went through my phone and deleted all my texts to free up some space, but saved all our group texts (which defeated the purpose since half of the texts on my phone were group texts JD started ). After reading this thread I went back and read through a bunch of them.

Good Bless JD. Our friendship was shortlived, but your legacy will live on. Prayers will continue to go out to his family.

We talked about that the morning I met him.
He was still thinking just an ulcer at this point

Very dusty over here in the Left Coast.

I saw the Facebook post today from Mrs. EJW and it got dusty atvwork too.

It was an honor and a pleasure to work with and hang out with the big guy when we worked in the Mecca together.

Happy birthday JD you are missed.

Well, dang.

I didn't know JSM was his dad. I will say a extra prayer for him and Mrs. JSM tonight. I hope they know their son touched many folks, even those he never met in person. That's a strong testament to a man's character, right there.

I sure did like Josey's stories, especially the one about him killing the hog with a knife, even though he had a gun right by his side.

I hope you all that was close to him will know that as the years pass, the sadness will fade and the joy that you knew him will take over.
