Yeah PCT is cool, I didn't even realize PTM was a rockets fan to be honest.

Indiana is so desperate now after pg went down and Stephenson left, I bet they would take egs contract. Maybe just maybe give us a first rounder that could be good next year too, but I would rather have eg play it out with us than anyone on the pacers roster in return at this point anyways unless we got a draft pick.

What is this?

It's dumb

The way the roster is currently constructed we need EG to play minutes at SG (with Evans at SF) or to net a starting caliber SF in a trade (not likely). At the beginning of the off season it would have made sense to dump Gordon for a pick and cap space, so that we could go after a SF, but that isn't feasible right now.

For a variety of reasons, we need EG to be healthy and playing lights out.

It would be great if the Pelicans would drop EG and replace him with a SF with at least comparable talents and production. The combination of Evans+SF needs to be better than the EG+Evans combo. The problem is that there is such a drop off at SF after the top 4 or 5 guys and I don't know who we can acquire to complete the Evans+SF combination.

I'm nominating you for Most Welcome Rockets Fan. If anyone else so much as challenges your election, I will berate them with insults for an indeterminate amount of time.

That's probably not possible until at least FA 2016 unless he does the unthinkable and opts out next summer.

I'm okay with EG for another year or two.

By that time, AD's extension comes up, we should be able to fill a void at SF, and we'd hopefully put on the court a competitive team when all things are said and done.

You too.

If you actually read the preceding post and thought about it for a second, there was a point to my post.

I made this trade proposal on PelicansReport, so I'm going to see what you guys think.

We all pretty much want to move Gordon, but don't want to give him up for peanuts either. With Indiana losing Paul George they need to have offense come from somewhere and since George is out for the season they have some cap space to play with. Also, since Indiana doesn't really have any assets the Pels covet a third team would need to be involved. I think Portland would make perfect sense...

Pels get: Nic Batum and CJ Watson
Blazers get: Roy Hibbert and Luke Babbitt
Pacers get: Eric Gordon and Robin Lopez

I figure everyone gets what they need/want in this deal. It works on Trade Machine

Blazers lose two starting players for 1 starting player that may or may not even be an upgrade to their center.

Pacers would probably say yes, we would of course, but blazers need a 1st or something.
