I will add this too. I was in a Co F 150 last year and beginning of this year, not impressed with the way the thing was built. Just seemed flimsy. Which was proven when I got in a wreck with a little Kia. He drove off with a dent in wheel panel, while we thru the entire front of the ford into the bed. Looked like the final car seen in Blues Brothers, shite feel off everywhere.

I have a '12 Tundra Crewmax. I love it. To echo the others the MPG is the only downside. I have the 4.7 with tow package and it averages about 13 mpg. But I like to drive fast

I've read where Ford is not giving as much incentive to buy the F-150 now in order to increase profits on them while they know they will not produce as many trucks this year due to the retooling of the factories for the 2015 model
Read the same article. Said Ford is cutting 2014 productions by almost 100,000 units due to having to re-tool the factories for the 2015s. Because of that, they said dealers may be less willing to deal since 2014 inventory will be lower than usual by year end...something along those lines.

I have a 2012 Tundra white TSS , absolutely love it. I also had a 2008 Tacoma before and was also a great truck. They both get pretty good gas mileage, better price than fords, and drive much better in my opinion. Tundra's and Tacoma's have much better acceleration . I don't like how on the fords and Chevys you have to stomp on the gas to get it to go and it feels like it takes forever to get moving.

Also forgot to mention my 2008 Tacoma saved my life in a headon collision on the interstate. Car swerved and came across the median in front of me going 75~ mph, I walked away with a sprained ankle. My truck was completely fine everywhere except the engine crushed. Unfortunately the other car was destroyed and the driver died instantly.

Dude, I got into a wreck in my 2006 and it performed wonderfully. I feel very safe in it. You honestly couldn't even tell I got into a wreck (ran into a parked car).
ETA: Holy frick just finished the rest of your post.

I have a 2013 Tundra double cab 4WD. / 7.5. It is by far the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven. Fuel mileage is better than advertised. It's nice to be able to access the backseat without having to open the front doors and the backseat windows open and close.

Crewmax, the biggest one is definitely the best looking and the way to go. So much space in the backseat my friends call it "the condo", and has reclining back seats.

I know the OP is concerned with the Tundra but I would look elsewhere if any of you are thinking about a Tacoma.
I have an 08 double cab, no lift and am running into the drivelive vibration problem for the third frickin time.
Toyota has issued TSB's on this issue since 09' and they still cant track down the problem. Everything from the transfer case needle bearing to motor mounts to carrier bearing to leaf spring issues has supposedly caused this. Bottom line is they cant figure it out snd most, if not all Tacomas come down with this issue.
I love the truck other than that but I bought a Toy for the supposed quality and evidently things are slipping fast.
That said I have heard nothing but great stuff about the Tundra so hopefully the same drivetrain engineers werent part of the Tundra development process.
Guess I will be looking hard at the new Colorado/ Canyon when they come out in a few weeks since I don't need a full size tater hauler.

If I had that much room in MY Tundra back in high school (03, access cab, TRD-OR) I would've spent more time at the drive in, if you catch my drift
ETA: 03 Tundra, TRD Off-Road, 220,000 miles.
I'll drive it til she quits, and get a new one that year (hopefully the diesel if it's out by then)

Ford has to pay all those retirement packages to all the UAW workers. The 30 and out deals Ford and GM agreed to in the early 70s has killed American automobile companies.

I have a 2010 Tundra, and with the new MPG of the fords and GMs as well as my front end issue last month, I will not buy a Tundra next go around. I was in love with it in 10....now there is no real reason to get one.
BTW the steering went out, and unless I got hosed you have to pull the engine to get to the rack. It was a 2k fix. I threw up a little when they called and told me

Yes, this is obviously true since the F-series are the best selling vehicles in the U.S.
RIP American automobile companies.
