After 2 months of research and looking I'm leaning towards leaving the realms of Ford and switching to a Tundra. Reasons are a very large price difference for the same options. Anyone with experience with Toyota have any negatives I should be aware of?

Thanks

Are you saying that the Fords are more expensive than the Toyotas?

Yes. They are. The compatible Tubdra to the Ford is about $4,500 less

Interesting. I haven't bought a truck in about 3 years, but I seem to remember the Toyota's being really expensive. I thought they were great trucks, but expensive.

I love my Tacoma and want to upgrade to the Tundra, but I do not like the front end at all. I wish they would have kept the old body style.

Hate the front end. Old body style was much better. If they still made them with the old body style, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

IMHO, the new grill/tailgate setup looks much better than the old ones. A lot of dealerships are also offering them with a lift and 33" BFG ATs, which also looks better than stock. Haven't seen the new interiors, so idk if they changed those

I like my Tundra, but when I buy in a few months, i'll be looking at the Fords and GMCs too.

Wait for the 15's. There are some rumors about changes for the next year model. Anything from a 30 something gallon tank to brake control to 8 speed to a different type of injection.

Nobody knows for sure yet, just rumors at this point.

No way I believe the 2014 Ford 150 is $4,500 more than the Tundra with the same options. Ford is currently offering $12,500 off the 14's and Toyota gives you $750 off of sticker.

Don't get bogged down in sticker sell price. Make them give you the actual selling price and google 4lsu2's vehicle buying method. WillCover doesn't have shite on 4lsu2's piss up a rope method. Buy a Toyota for the truck, not selling price because I can assure you there's no way the same options are cheaper on the Tundra over the F150.

I plan on using your method for the labor day sale to buy a GMC. I'm even bringing rope with me

The brand spankin new ones look incredible. They ones from around 2010-2013 look absolutely horrible. I agree that the front end is screwed up. They tweaked the front end and now it looks awesome.

Ive gotta 2013 Tundra, 4.7 and love it. Had 3 F-150's before and there is no comparison to the ride and features that the Tundra has.

Much, much, quicker than the F-150, 5.4

And oh, Im getting 18-19 MPG overall, and it pulls the boat just fine.

Didn't realize they changed the front end. I'll check out the new ones.

ETA: Looks a little better. Still prefer the old style.
