I already did. And I'll stay where ever I like thank you very much.

It's also not what a vegetarian is, so it was a pretty irrelevant question.
He asked for a vegetarian recipe because:

I am trying to incorporate more vegetarian meals into my diet.
Why would he debate replacing your entire diet with vegetables when he isn't doing that?

A vegetarian is not what?
Someone that eats some meat.

With that conversation...yes...?
Mouton: Someone posted a black bean patty recipe recently that they kept boasting as the best they've ever had. I am trying to dig it up, but I really can't remember what the thread was even about. It was not very long ago.

That's not what you said. Maybe that why you and I disagree or have "misunderstandings." You say things that you don't mean.

Did someone say it was?

That is actually what prompted me to start this thread.

This is the one OBrah was talking about earlier. He plugs it pretty regularly. It sounds good, fwiw

For me the context of the convo was on vegetarianism. Of course eating more veggies and lowering your meat intake is healthy, to a point. I'm just failing to see what that question had to do in the context of the conversation. Unless of course it was just to explain why you were choosing to make a vegetarian recipe, even though you yourself are not vegetarian.

I think people don't benefit from eating no meat and all vegetables.
Why do you say this? You dont think the average American would benefit from switching from their typical diet to a whole foods plant based diet?

With no meat, no. Do you?

You could try textured vegetable protein or TVP. When reconstituted, it has the same texture as ground meat, but not a lot of taste. I would reconstitute it in water with Kitchen Bouquet mixed in it so that the color matches ground beef. You can get it at Whole Foods next to the packaged "exotic" grains.

The average American diet? Yes.

I will have to give it a try. But in my experience, quinoa does not make for a very good patty. The texture is too crumbly and mushy. I have tried quinoa burgers at 3 or 4 restaurants recently and they all were disappointing.

I don't think it's mentally healthy to be vegan.
