Isn't it weird that we built this great comfortable civilization by slaughtering animals. Really, just doing the same things other animals do, killing for survival and thrift. Every square inch of civilization, every technology we enjoy, every single piece of infrastructure, every section of every industry, fricking everything we have came from the wholesale slaughter of animals. You can't breathe without killing animals.

But some of the humans got so isolated from reality that they convinced themselves their entire existence was somehow wrong. They live in houses that were built by murdering animals, use technology completely supported and created by the slaughter of animals, and enjoy all of the conveniences of modern life and our history of slaughtering animals. Take away slaughtering animals, and we all die of extinction. Or maybe a few survive in the forest on berries. But, you know, if you stop eating them you can convince yourself you're being moral or something.

Do you think our level of meat consumption is sustainable?

I really have no idea. I just know it's not a moral/ethical question. Feel free to educate.

I don't see how you can say it can not be a moral or ethical decision.

Sounds like an economical one. Certainly not a question of personal morality or ethics.

Well I am doing it mainly for health reasons but you do not think a person can abstain from meat because they think it is morally wrong?

People will regularly consume insects in the not so distant future.

Insect farming is the way of the future. Bookmark that shite, like an Adam Smith quote.

Do you think the deer population would be healthier and more plentiful if we were not allowed to harvest them?

Right, because the moral aspect in based in a false ideal, that we kill animals for food. No, we kill animals for everything. The only way it's a moral stand is if the person is truly interested in the extinction of mankind. Because that's the only way we can stop killing animals.

Evolution is kill or be killed. We're still a part of nature.

We stop killing animals and they over-run everything. Everything. Your house, all our roads, all our factories, the cell phone tower, the cellphone factory, the TD.com servers, do you get it yet. Everything you own was made in a factory built on animal ground, with parts shipped from mines and laboratories built on animal ground on roads built on animal ground in vehicles built in other factories on animal ground, different people came up with these engineering ideas in buildings on animal ground, it goes on forever until the beginning of man. Everything every person does is on animal ground, we're protected from the animals because we kill them. Stop killing them, and they kill us. Welcome to earth.

I eat a lot of meat dishes but I also cook a lot of vegetarian dishes too. I've come to prefer tofu in certain dishes.

I like the idea of eating less red meat, for health reasons... but sausage, steak, jambalaya, gumbo, chicken wings, pizzas and po-boys are like my favorest things ever.

I need a personal cook or something.

I am a meat lover. That said- I do feel more energetic when eating veggies, non complex carbs, and drinking a lot of water.
