All these are in SC, but...

Hominy Grill (southern)
Fuel (carribean)
Pawleys Front Porch (burgers)

all are different and all are great spots.

in Chicago

There was a Chicago area restaurant on a recent episode (or recently re-aired episode) called Big & Little's. It looked awesome and it looked like a great lunch place.

They had foie gras & fries that looked incredible but everything they made looked good. They have two locations and the foie grad is only available at the N Orleans location, according to the online menus.

We love this place. Didn't know it was a DDD until we got inside. Been there 3 times in the last month!

Old man Darwell is quite a trip, too, if you ever get a chance to speak with him.

We did on our first visit. My husband asked him why it was BYOB. He said because the owner was a convicted felon. Do you know if that's true?

I've only been to Hullabaloo diner in College Station. I had a dried out omelet and a dry biscuit. I should have gone back back to try some other items when I lived there:

Incredible place. Could be the best biscuit in America at that place.

I forgot about the joint. I think I saw it there first. Because the first time I went I ordered that smoked dressing salad. I never got it again though.

Gott's Roadside in Napa, right down the road from Mondavi and Franciscan..... Nothing like some fresh garlic fries and a glass of napa wine outside at a drive in to tide you over til dinner

I've been meaning to check this place out, I passed it on the way to the restaurant

My favorite non-upscale place in town still hasn't been featured, but I think it will soon. It's called Rockit Burger Bar, they have a venison burger topped w/ red onion marmalade and seared foie gras, served w/ truffle fries

In Denver I would hit up Sam's No.3 every time I went. Didn't know they were 3D for years. One of my favorite joints to go to anywhere. Green chili is out of this world

I love Sam's No. 3. Their Huevos Rancheros is legit.

I've eaten at probably seven or eight DDD places, have yet to have a bad meal at any of them. Kenny and Ziggy's was the only place I got a second meal to-go when I left. Coolest atmosphere (and food was great too) was The Red Lion Pub. Both in Houston.

Red Lion was the first I went to. I still don't know how I've never been to Kenny and Ziggys.
The next Houston restaurant I want to see on there is Underbelly, I love what that place does

I love certain Jew foods, and hadn't eaten at a good Jewish deli in years, Kenny and Ziggy's took me back to stuff I grew up on. Had the best chopped liver I've had besides my mom's.
