But when will Les let him throw a pass?

Fournettes goal is national championship and a heisman his freshman year.

The team lost 290+ carries off of last year's team. And that team had the best QB play LSU has had since Jamarcus.
Add the lost carries to complete inexperience at the QB position, and the most likely scenario is that LF gets 15+ touches a game AND Magee's touches increase AND Hilliard's touches increase.
People are so used to the "stable" of backs that Les has kept around here the last few years that people forget there are only 2 returning lettermen at the position this year.
Les didn't recruit a running back for 2 straight years to clear the decks for Leonard Fournette. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about what the coaches think of his talent, then there really isn't anything that will convince you how big a part of the offense he is going to be this year.

Oh this board cracks me up. Go watch Adrian Peterson from his freshman year and that is what is reasonable to expect from LF. He has been compared to him constantly so use that as an idea for his talent level.

LSU fans have never seen a player like Fournette. The people that have been paying attention to his recruitment understand how special he is.
He's the #1 player in the country for a reason.

Just fine. Will most probably be because we don't want to open up the play book too soon before the meat of the schedule.
Russell Shepard was brought on very slowly over a period of years and we all handled it like adults.

Fournette won't get nearly the carries AP got.
It's a different time now. You don't want to wear one guy out.

What is Fournettes injury history if any at all? Trying to get a feel for his durability and past injurys if any.

Here's what he helped produce as a freshman at St. Augustine: 4 loss season. Extrapolate from that to College

So for such a dominant player, no 1 RB in the country, Adrian Peterson...esk, he should have been able to run all over the babies he was playing against in high school, enough dominance to carry his team to 4 consecutive state championships. But it didn't happen and it ain't gonna happen at LSU either, at least for certain his freshman year, but who knows after that.

The first time Magee is stopped for no gain, the rant will shut down calling for Fournette to get more PT and Miles to be fired.

Did this occur in another dimension? From what I remember (I signed up the same year he came in) Miles was bashed constantly for not getting Shepard more snaps. Bashed constantly for not letting him throw a pass. People did it his whole freshman year.

I don't care how the fans react, but the key thing is how LF himself reacts if he doesn't get as many touches as he imagines.. seems like he would handle it well but you just never know.

Yet you still haven't learned how to detect sarcasm

They'll be too busy complaining about which QB to play.

Oh really. I don't even have to look any further than this thread to get proof (see below), but if I wasn't so lazy, I'd look through last week's threads, or the week before that.
That his talent exceeds Jeremy Hill? Well, it does. Not his experience, but his talent does. He can still get faster, he can still get stronger. He can still develop his already receiver like hands. He's already a very elusive power runner. Great vision and quick feet and acceleration. I know you won't, but honestly tell me that Fournette doesn't have at least equal to or better than skills that Hill has.
Blocking is something he'll develop here. That is obviously not going to be equal because of the type of offense he played for.
What you listed is not true, please bring up serious posts where a number of people have said that he needs to get 25 carries a game, that he is the best RB ever, that he is better than Bo, Herchel, Jim Brown, Walter Payton, etc without it sounding tongue in cheek.
I want serious posts. I don't want multiple heismans, best ever type crap.

He was promised a starting position as a freshman and if he does not get that he gone. It's his to lose. If he were a regular recruit and fumbles once in a critical situation, he may not play again as a freshman. But he's "Bugga Nation", the best running back ever, so if he is not as productive as Les thinks he should be, Les may just leave him in and crown him JJ the second. One never knows with the grass eating "Hat". One thing is certain, if he does not live up to the hype his freshman start, it will be bad for everyone. Without a spectacular season from him at running back, we are middle of the pack at best.
