Unless you're ignoring everything besides accolades LeBron passed up Kobe a couple of years ago.

I'm still waiting for the LeBron that single handedly destroyed the Pistons in the Eastern Conference playoffs to come back.

LeBron without a doubt is a better athlete and all around ball player than MJ. But MJ had that intangible that he was going to beat you and that he was always in control on the court.

Game 6 Celtics

Game 6 Spurs

Game 7 Spurs

Game 5 Thunder

Game 4 Thunder

If that's not good enough for you (game 6 vs Celtics in particular) I don't know what to say.

I think people forget that KD is still really young. KD is pretty much right up there with LeBron when he was 25.

KD@25
.503/.391/.873
32.0 ppg
7.4 rpg
5.5 apg
2.0 s+bpg
29.8 PER
123 ortg
104 drtg
19.2 WS

LJ@25
.503/.333/.767
29.7 ppg
7.3 rpg
8.6 apg
2.6 s+bpg
31.1 PER
121 ortg
102 drtg
18.5 WS

Please elaborate on how LJ has passed Kobe up.

Did anyone learn from last time with Lebron? At 25 everyone was saying Lebron would never get a ring and was a choke artist and scared of the big moment....
It's pretty apparent that folks will never learn at this point.

The funny part about those people saying "he'll never win/he chokes/scared of the moment" blah blah blah, instead of admitting they were wrong when Lebron did win, they just go with "He figured it out."

Meh. I put him right at 5. He is quite comfortably in the Top 10.

ETA: Not directed at anyone in particular, but if you disagree that Kobe is Top 10 then you are just a biased hater. When Magic Johnson and Jerry West call you the greatest Laker ever... the greatest player of the greatest basketball franchise ever... you're in the Top 10.

More physically gifted, not a better ball player.

Michael is the GOAT and Lebron will never take his spot. Sorry that upsets people

You can argue he is better than Kobe. Not MJ.

I actually wonder how many people who talk about Jordan actually saw him play. I'm not saying he's not great, but it seems like he's reached this Chuck Norris type status.

Losing three finals when you are supposed to be the Basketball Gods gift to mortals says a lot.

INDIVDUAL statistics for each player

Lebron: 27.5ppg, 7.2 RPG, 6.9 apg, 49.7% FG 4 MVP

kOBE: 25.5ppg, 4.3 RPG, 4.8 apg, 45.4% FG, 1MVP

Bolded statistics are for the leader in that category, AKA Lebron leads in everyone of them

Yeh, Lebron never should have lost those games of 1 on 1 he played in the finals......

ETA: Putting the Dallas loss on him is fine with me. But to put the two vs the Spurs shows you have no right to talk sports, and you should be in the kitchen making sandwiches

Ok.

Regardless, he isn't better than MJ. No reason to go 18 pages arguing something so clear cut.

I actually like Lebron a lot more since his letter he wrote.

Of course he isnt. I dont think anyone has really argued that(except for your occasional moron). I just think it is nuts for that one guy who thinks he has a ways to go to pass Kobe. He has already passed Kobe by a good bit

I saw him play in college and throughout his NBA career. He would kick Chuck Norris' arse. If you weren't around to see him play, you wouldn't understand. It was simply a given that he would take over big games and there wasn't a damn thing the opposition could do about it. Unstoppable. He always dictated the terms.

Please post the career totals numbers for each player instead of their averages. Also, include Titles won in your analysis. Then we can see how "nuts" it is to think LeBron hasn't passed him yet.
