Catalyst seems like it's just a BCAA tablet, just like all other manufacturers make.

02 Gold is I dunno wtf, was gonna guess close to BSN Nitrix, which is bullshite.

So I was reading/watching through the Bodybuilding.com Shortcut to Shred program and it seems like a good way to start back into working out.

They reccommend a lot of supplements, for waking up, pre-workout, post work out, end of day, etc.

I want to buy one or maybe two (if I really need any at all) maybe just a pre-workout?

Thoughts on a good general supplement or two to get back into a nice routine?

Pre Workout/Protein are the real staples, if you can go without a pre workout that's even better as they aren't the best for you. It's just basically a huge dosage of caffeine.

It gets you in a mood to go to the gym though when you're down or having a lazy day and to me that's awesome.

I like pre-work on days I don't want to go either.

What's a good one these days?

I think I'm gonna do the 24 day challenge from Advocare (I already downloaded the guide online free) and then start the Shortcut to Shread after that.

I'm really busy for the next month but my schedule will be open after that so I can devote it to getting back into really working out, but I think a version of the challenge with just spark/meal replacement and a low cal diet will give me a good jump start.

So Many, most are decent.

I use C4 by Cellucor
ADRENOLYN BULK by Blackmarket Labs
Assault by Muscle Pharm

I don't know how comparable price wise they are, but the GNC meal replacement shakes with 25G protein and a pre workout would be quite similar as spark and advocare meal replacement

My gf's sister is a rep so she gets 40% off so I should be alright, but I'll look into it. Thanks!

Lol at people saying they followed the meal plan.

The meal plan is basically eat lean meat and veggies for lunch and dinner. Nothing groundbreaking

I did the 10 day challenge in feb. Felt good. Haven't gone back to coffee since. I drink spark pretty much every morning and sometimes twice a day. I also take the core plus max or whatever they call their vitamins every day. Sometimes I'll have an oasis at night. Before running/working out I'll have a VO2 prime bar and a spark/rehydrate/muscle mass drink. I take carb-ease before drinking a lot of beer or big dinners. I like the products. I'm sure you can get similar products cheaper but it's pretty mindless and seems to work for me so I'll keep using it

All these different challenges and fad diets are just a way for lazy people to connect with other lazy people to get better. I don't mind it...until those frickers try to act like they are extremely knowledgeable about actual health and exercise.

No they don't.

It's no miracle program or everyone would be doing it..... Have still yet to see any "success" stories aside from a chubby chick sucking in her gut in the after pic that she pushed out in the before pic.

Have I ever told you that I love you. These idiots act much like most of the posters here on the OT. They became a distributor and now they suddenly have a PhD in biochemistry.

Thoughts on Shortcut to Shred?

Seems like a good hiit style, and it would work for me because I had long(more than 5 minutes ) cardio.

NeauxLa when Advocare first became popular, ppl at the gym were handing out samples like crazy trying to get business. So I just got a bunch of free shite, lol!

Like stated, catalyst is some amino acids. I was just taking pre workout at the time and I saw results.

O2 gold I usually just take before races and have yielded good results. Not sure what the frick it does but it seems to help with running.

Have not taken the products in some time though. I've been on Top Secret preworkout, Xtend bcaa, and ON protein powder and have seen great results with calorie counting.

That article was written before his supplements came out. His pre. Workout (pre jym) is the bees knees and included nearly all of those individual supplemts he list. I would personally by his protein (pro jym) and his preworkout and call it a day. He is one of most respected people in bodybuilding and supplemental nutrition. Trust me you are in good hands. Wrote encyclopedia of muscle and fitness and senior science editor for muscle and fitness magazine. Award winning scientist. Dude knows a thing or too
