Seriously though, in a season that's been little fun, that was a blast. Great tactics and execution.

Big win!
The Blues thank you

Great result today. For the first time in a long time, especially against a top 4 side, we didn't look super tactically naive. The 4-1-4-1 really worked.
Santi and Coq for me are currently indispensable. They have played so well as of late. I'm not sure how we integrate Ozil and Ramsey (and eventually Jack) at this point, but that's a good problem to have.
Bellerin played well but I would still like to recall Jenko. We are a Bellerin injury away from having to watch Chambers get torched by agile wingers again.
Ospina keeps his place until Szcz proves he deserves to start again.

Finally got to watch the game. Santi's run of form at this point is just ridiculous.

Not going to happen.
A great performance and a well deserved result.
This is huge and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Arsene deserves some serious credit.

Finally. What took so long? Diff team we saw out there. Cazorla is a freaking baller. Really like coquelin protecting the back 4. Ox is finally becoming the player we thought he'd be.
Yeah looks like Ospina is the new #1.

Wow! I was in meetings all day today, came back in, watched a little NFL playoff game, then was so tired I went right to bed. I honestly forgot about the Arsenal match.
We beat Man Shitty on their pitch!

Cazorla was so great. His penchant for dribbling out of trouble was incredible today.
I will sleep well and say prayers to him and two others. GUNNERS!! We needed this one, big time.

Just watched the highlights on Arsenal player.
Amazing that we won 2-0 at the Etihad with only 33 percent possession.
We usually can't score when we have 66 percent possession.
A stay-at-home defence with a stay-at-home keeper was just the thing.
Do we keep using this strategy going forward, or do we revert to our freewheeling ways, especially at the Emirates?

Congrats and thanks, guys. I've seen a lot of praise for Santi and rightfully so. But how about Coquelin! He was superb.

Le Coq would have been MOTM if it wasn't for how good Santi was. Amazing to think he was basically out the door before Flamini got injured.

Outside of maybe the Man U game this seems to have been the style we've tried to use against the big sides.
I feel like we have some guys that could thrive in this sort of system.

No question. Arsenal has the ability to be tactically flexible.
I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

It was funny watching the post interview with Arsene. Kept being asked what took so long for the change, and of course he smirked and say we've been doing this blah blah blah, but we get down early and have to open up going for goals. Well we wouldn't go down early if we played like this.
Just shows arsenes stubbornness and how often we play players out of position, like cazorla. Dude has been money playing centrally, his close control skills and lack of top speed were useless on the wing.

I don't think we'll play like that every game, of course, but in road games vs. big sides, yeah, we'll play that deep line, concede possession, and break.
I know Santi is undroppable at this point, but maybe we could play him deeper like Ramsey played yesterday and have Ozil in the more No. 10 role. If that's sturdy enough defensively (it might not be), we could be lethal on the counter, with Ozil picking his head up and finding Theo/Ox and Alexis.
If not, maybe drop Giroud (late sub, where he's extremely effective) and play Theo up top with Alexis on the right and Santi on the left, Ozil centrally ahead of Ramsey and Le Coq.
Options are good.
Also, props to Bellerin and Monreal for great games, and to Kosc and Per for solid showings. Per is so much better with Koscielny, it's not even funny.

Did anyone see Henry on SkySports? Thought he was great.
