I am certainly no expert on international labor law, but I find it mind-blowing that a work permit would be an issue for the eighth richest professional football club in the world.

I could understand if this were some 7th division club in Podunk Junction, but Arsenal has battalions of the best attorneys in the world at their beck and call.

I would think with the legal power one of the top clubs in the world could amass and summon, this would be over in a flash.

Cox-Baton Rouge has Fox Sports 2 in standard def. I have no idea why they don't have it in HD.

Oh well, at least I get to watch the game.

Looks like Woj is relegated to being the mid-week-FA Cup keeper. For awhile, at least.

Theo and Ozil both with first half goals - great to get those two involved in the scoring

This isn't good, Ramsey injured yet again. He picked up a knock in the last match that had him hobbling a little bit, but now he's really struggling out there.

He looks better now, thankfully.

@gunnerblog Arsene Wenger confirms Gabriel Paulista should be done tomorrow. Appears very confident on WP issue.

We made that more interesting than it should have been.

I'm not totally blaming Woj for the goals, but lately the whole defense feels shakier when he's in goal.

Ospina, at least for now, brings a more solid feel.

Good to see those guys back, but coquelin has to start against the stronger sides.

Yeah Flamini has regressed tremendously over the past year. He needs to go in the summer. Be interesting to see if we sign someone else or go forward with Coquelin, Bielek, and Chambers at DM

Fantastic news - figured they were confident it would get done, but still great to hear it got resolved.

Such a great signing, I think. Assuming he's as good as he's hyped to be.

He can cover at any spot in the backline. He'll push Per and Kosc, mostly Per.

I suspect we'll see Arsene give Chambers some DM run at some point. He might be able to land second choice behind Coq, as shite as Flamini's been.

I'm guessing his career track is similar to Koscielny, who was fairly unproven when we bought him. I still have to see what type of defender he is...I don't think he'll replace Per, as a backline with both Kos and Gab (who apparently has a reputation for bravery, whatever that means), might be too dangerous.

Long term, a pairing of Chambers and Gab will hopefully solve our CB problems. The more I see of Chambers, the more I like him on the ball, but the less I like him in any other position other than CB. He is really really slow.

Also the only downside of Coq is his passing, but other than that he's exactly the type of player we've needed. And the downside is that his short passing is just slightly off, but he has the desire to play the hollywood ball, which is both good and bad. It's good if he can pull it off consistently, and bad if he is wasteful with it, a la Song before that one year he learned how to play a final ball.

He's not as slow as he looks. Long strides. But he's not quick off the mark.

That said, his future is definitely in the center. I think he can be elite there. And I'm very high on Bellerin.

Maybe, but there was a passage yesterday when Brighton's winger held him back and then exploded toward the vacated RB space, and Chambers couldn't catch up. Given that he's struggled against agile wingers, I think it points to the fact his speed and agility is a concern, especially when he's left on an island.
