If you want to survive in the corporate world, which is increasingly becoming feminized, I would agree.

10. Have progressive name politics. If you and your female partner decide that the institution of marriage is something you want to be involved with, be willing to both keep your existing surnames. If having a common surname with your spouse is important to you, be willing to change your surname and treat this as a preferable option to your spouse changing hers.

34. Get in the habit of treating your maleness as an unearned privilege that you have to actively work to cede rather than femaleness being an unearned disadvantage that women have to work to overcome.

will NEVER take feminism seriously until they fight to be included in the selective service draft, and when the courts stop guaranteeing women majority custody and alimony.

Good news, the vast majority of feminist groups either oppose selective service for all people or support the inclusion of women. In fact, it's a major talking point for the Service Women's Action Network, a feminist group advocating for women in the military. Here's an article written by SWAN legal director Rachel Natelson on the subject.

Also, custody courts are not slanted toward women, they are slanted toward the primary caregiver in a marriage. In cases where the woman works and the man is a stay at home dad, the courts are equally slanted in favor of the man in that situation.

That's great. Pretty easy to take that position when there is no draft.

Anyone who has a problem with number 26, or any of these talking points really, is purposefully trying to misinterpret them to mean something that they don't. Okay, so it says "Be subordinate to women", but it's very clear from the context that this doesn't mean be subordinate to all women in all things. It just means that if you want to do something practical to support feminism, one practical step you might take is to find female mentors for yourself. You might benefit from it, and you'll serve as an example to others.

This article makes it seem like supporting feminism is a lot like letting women win at things because it's cute when she thinks she earned something.

And BULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLShit also.

There's a few good ones (#4 is a good one, same with finding female mentors as well). But there's plenty of straight up asinine ones. The 77% stat, men pay 100% for birth control, donating 23% of your salary to some bullshite feminism cause, etc.

So what the frick do you want? To start a draft just to make it more meaningful? Don't be stupid. He said he wanted to see a feminist group arguing to be included in selective service, and I showed him a group doing just that.

No more bullshite arguments with respect to feminism. But that's a lot to ask, apparently.

You provided very good advice for yourself. I would recommend you follow it.

Every man should consider reading "Letters to Philip On How to Treat a Woman."

It defines gender roles really well in a way that's respectful to women and not so radically feminist.

Just a neat suggestion. Your SOs would appreciate your application of what you read in that book.

33. Walk the walk about income inequality.

Women still earn about 77% as much as men. If you are in a position where you are financially able to do so, consider donating a symbolic 23% of your income to social justice-oriented causes. If 23% sounds like a lot to you, that’s because it is a lot and it’s also a lot for women who don’t have a choice whether to forfeit this amount or not.

If you don't want to donate your income then don't do it. Or if you want to donate a smaller amount, then do that. The author isn't trying to force anyone to do anything. You all are acting like she's trying to legislate that you HAVE to give 23% of your paycheck directly to NOW or something. It's just a talking point, not an order, but everyone is intentionally overreacting.
