OK results with Zymol(sp?) and McGuires, but there has to be something out there that is better. FWIW I have two black vehicles

I use this sealant. I do a wash, then clay, then wipe it down with a Isopropyl alcohol and distilled water mix(50/50), then do the sealant. I do this about every 6 months and it looks great after every wash.

I used McGuire's. Smells nice too. The bees loved it.

I'd also like to know what everyone is using

Something you can't buy at a local big box store. Collonite and jetseal are some popular options

Someone on here in the past posted autogeek.net to get your car care. It's awesome. I went ahead and bought Wolfgang 3.0. It's amazing and the pant is silky smooth. They recommend waxing it after with carnauba to give it a deep shine but I found the paint to be less smooth afterward.
Easy to put on and take off.
Only thing is that they recommend the car sitting under cover for twelve hrs after you take it off for it to bond correctly to the paint.
The product is basically clear coat.
I highly recommend.

The key for you is the washing process. You have to avoid micro scratches. Wash the bottom of the car ( and the wheels) with a separate wash mitt. Change the water and use a clean mitt for the rest.
Any of the products mentioned will work well, especially if you clay first.
Modern clear coats are extremely durable, but any dark color is going to show swirls and minor scratches. Avoid them if you can.

Whatever wax Paige uses would be a good recommendation.
It has everyone wanting to get in there.

Today's cars don't need wax. Just wash periodically. Prayers sent if you've got an old POS car that's looking dull.

I've had good luck with Blackfire Wet Diamond on black paint. Of course you have to wash and prep the paint correctly for it to really pay off.
I also use the Klasse product mentioned in this thread to seal headlights/tailights/glass.
