All this and one free parking spot left on campus, to go to the highest bidder. The others will be bused in from the nearest empty lot in back Brusly.

I'm actually hoping the new trolley will help with both parking and traffic.

Maybe the exterior, but the concourses/bathrooms/inner workings of the stadium leave much to be desired.

The exterior is a MESS!! A mix and match of different colors , styles, and Naming of gates and maybe toilets if they get enough money ??

I hope someone takes control, and makes the Needed decisions base on 1 focus and direction.

1. Same color exteriors

2. Same designs Based on the North ends. (original design)

3. Stop pimpin our stadium with Naming rights for silly reasons , like naming Gates or Memorials of former players. Can't you just say LSU all-SEC team or Gate 9?? I understand on the plaque a sponsor name of bricks with supports names or windows replaced by names. But not Gates.

4. Give us fans some REAL improvements like; New chairback seats in the Endzones.

5. Better and more reasonable priced concessions and stop ripping us off with lame and stale food.

6. nice cups for dranks instead of cheap small bottom cups. that melt in a dishwasher.

7. Also giving credit to the 1908 team for there national championship. a undefeated team that deserve to be recognized.

Most of these things go into making TS a better stadium. Some are just things I like to see done.

This.

I'm glad they've increased capacity, but the exterior has suffered from these changes.

Some of u say BDS is better. I don't see it. Not nearly as attractive area surrounding it. Not much campus feel to me. Just my 2 cents. I like TS much better with or without improvements

Well the south side certainly looks better than it ever has. It looks somewhat like the north side but I don't know why they couldn't have matched it up exactly.

I hate to admit it, but Bama's campus is the best looking in the SEC. You "tiger fans" need to visit the other campus' in the SEC. Ole Miss has a small campus, but the buildings on the campus makes that campus look great. Ole Miss' campus has an Old South atmosphere to it and that campus is very nice. I've been to all of the campus' in the SEC, and Bama and Ole Miss get my vote. My problem with Auburn is that I couldn't realize if I was still in the town of Auburn or still on the campus. I'm an LSU graduate and I believe in giving credit where it's due. I don't wear purple and gold clases and Bama is first on my list. I'm anxious to see the butt hurt fans who never ventured out of the state of La. callme out.

This thread is about the stadium, not the campus.

I've visited Bama's campus 4 or 5 times and while it is certainly a beautiful campus, I prefer LSU's. Same can be said about Ole Miss. At least in the SEC, you can't beat the "stately oaks and broad magnolias" that cover our campus, IMO.

I actually like the fact that LSU's campus has something other than an "old South feel" to it. I want to see the surroundings improve, but I dig the campus itself.

Ole Miss has red sheet-metal roofing throughout their campus

Alabama is nice but too generic. I've seen 5+ campuses that are very similar

UGA & LSU stand alone imo. However, I do agree there are areas on our campus that need work

We'll hear any day now that the Studio Arts Building (the old engineering shops) renovation will start.

The plans have been drawn up already, and it's a $15 million dollar renovation.

quote:

The Old Engineering Shops Building began its life c.1924, along with 9 other buildings designed by architect Theo C. Link as part of the original master plan for Louisiana State University. Because the existing building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a complete historic renovation will be undertaken to meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Rehabilitation of Historic Structures.

The building is currently being occupied by the art department for the studio arts and once renovated, will house new studio arts facilities for ceramics, printmaking and sculpture. In addition to a total interior reorganization to meet the needs of the art department, the renovation will provide significant upgrades to air conditioning and ventilation systems as well as a complete interior finish upgrade.

We'd be doing LSU a favor.

And TOG, I'm happy to see that they're at least planning to renovate the engineering shops. Sorely needed, to say the least.
