The child can not consent to an abortion.

This fricker got 13 pages out of this BS OP with a header and no body?
Has he even posted in the thread since that troll?
lol
not that I have seen.
But it was a winner from the start, abortion, religion or Obama...those three topics almost always guarantee double digit pages.

Grammar Knotsi would care to argue that point as it is improper to start a sentence with a conjunction. Plus:
A grammar Nazi would know how to spell nazi ;-).
That's another poster here asurob1.

Just pointing out how using those broad sweeping terms make you appear daft.
I tend to talk in generalities on forums that I haunt for my own entertainment.
If you want to get to specifics...by all means...let's.

A child can't consent to much of anything.
Which is why adults make all of the decisions.

No, the morals of society deem what is exceptable.
SO who chooses which ones?
Guys like you?
Guys like me?
It's a society...it means we all have a say in it.
So why do you keep saying a father should have no say over the life of his unborn child?

It's not his body that holds the fetus. It's as simple as that.
His body is not doing the work, being put at risk, caring for said fetus.
Again, the moment that changes and men can give birth, then they get a say.
But then again the moment that men begin to give birth...I'm fairly certain that elective abortions won't even be a discussion ;-).
It's funny how things like that work.

If the mother wants the child, but the father doesn't, what then?

The father should prepare his checkbook.

as typical of an abortion thread, ASU takes up 50%+ of the post.
glad to see you are fighting so called hatred of women asu.

Someone has to interrupt the usual circle jerk

A tool, not the tool. At the end of the day I completely support a woman's right to choose an abortion if that's what she wishes...no matter her circumstance.
Then it should not be a problem to remove it from the discussion under the understanding that neither party (pro-life or pro-choice) are making a claim either way on special cases.

I also support her right to give birth and put it up for adoption, no matter her circumstance.
Child is not inherently harmed.

I also support her right to give birth and raise it, again, no matter her circumstance.
Child is not inherently harmed.

I support her ability to make any of those choices.
I support any choices that don't harm the child as well.
However, I think the question about smoking crack while pregnant is a valid analogy. Do you support a woman's choice to do that?

The old double standard. If the host wants to abort and the donor doesn't, doesn't matter. If the host wants to keep and the donor doesn't, oh well, you have to pay for it for 18 years. Makes perfect sense.

As I previously answered yes, if that's her choice then there isn't much I can do to stop her.
I certainly would try.
When I see pregnant chicks smoking their 3rd cig in an hour...it ticks me off...but it is their right no matter how much harm they are doing to their baby....

Certainly it's a double standard.
But if you don't want to be paying out child support.
Hell that's easy. Don't get a chick pregnant.
Once you do, you lose all rights...

I feel this way about the woman.

No reason for the double standard. Equal standing across the board.
