Many BD's today while doing some wood working projects. Mostly reruns.

Did have Stone Go To IPA for the first time and have to say that the smell of that beer is great. Doesn't deliver on a huge flavor, but it does as a very drinkable IPA. Nice trade off.

It has an exquisite, clean flavor. I still think it's damn good.

I would certainly drink it all the time, if given the option. I was just kind of expecting to take a sip and then fall to my knees crying

I agree. I went into it thinking too highly and I was a little disappointed at first. After having it again, it is an enjoyable beer

I've never homebrewed, so I dunno, but what does it take to make a beer maintain that potency? I imagine the person that discovers what it takes to make an IPA maintain that IPA and flavor profile will be a zillionaire.

I guess because I'm asking should tell me that it's just improbable. But surely someone has insight about maintaining hops longevity.

Matt B from Firestone Walker is a hop chemist and they don't have the magic bullet. Not out there yet.

They are highly volatile compounds, so maybe bottling with inert gases or something??? The tin foil hat crowd will say that they have figured it out but brewers want to drive panic buying of fresh IPAs

That makes sense. From my understanding the entire style of the IPA is about overdoing it so it will be good in a few months. Aging seems to be an inevitable aspect of it.

And to be fair, I absolutely want my stouts and porters to age while my pale ales to resist time. Completely arbitrary.

I still want it. My leeching neighbor took a pour from that GiTM.

LBD is the last of my "expired" beers, a Timber Beast

Not a single frick was given

Have had a friend help himself to my Bishops Barrel 1 a few months back. He said it was pretty good.

You understand my hood. I'm over it. fricker didn't appreciate shite. I could piss in a tulip glass and he'd think it was Heady.

And I know that Ghost was old. This is a recurring issue.

I have segregated my beers to hopefully eliminate the issue in the future. Beers on the door of the fridge are now off limits.

Same friend found all of my beers I keep in the closet. I'm watching my back.

After about 9 jack and cokes on the shiitty southwest flight I am sucking down Gubnas at a pizza place in the little Italy part of Pittsburgh listening to gay Chinese guys sing Madonna for karaoke night. Wtf am I doing with my life.

And frick southwest and dia for letting those sweatpant wearing mouth breathers bring fricking McDonald's on the plane. Well at least these Gubnas are full pours
