He's a dumbass for doing it. He knew it was wrong* and at 21 years of age, he needs to fix his own problems. Any outside assistance is merely enabling him. I can't believe so many folks don't get that helping him out of this issue is not truly helping him.
The odds are much greater that he will do this (or worse) again if he receives outside assistance to get out of it. That's human nature. Betas offer to help or ask for help here. Alphas do not.
