My little brother got a DUI yesterday and is begging parents/me for help on the Fine (650$). He's 21, broke asf, and is the biggest dumbass I know. Parents already gave him the "hell no" (find the money yourself), and that's what I'm leaning toward as well.

What does OT think?

Try multiplying that number by 10.

$650 won't touch the amount it is going to cost in the long run.

He's looking at 5 to 10k, depending on how it turns out.

Is there any other punishment or is $650 all?

It amazes me everyday the incredibly lax stance LA takes on drinking and driving. It seems like every week on here there's a post about some 20-something with their 4th or 5th DWI.

Tell him to go pick up beer cans off the side the road to cash in.

Time to find a MS lawyer, and the clock is ticking.

$650 is the first part, that's the only part I was considering helping him with

I would help him out, but it seems like just paying $650 is really small for a DUI.

When you shite in your own bed on purpose, might as well lay down in it.
