LSU banned real cigarets from campus a while back. A public place.. Which shouldn't have happened. And I don't smoke.

The state passed a law prohibiting smoking in public buildings except bars and casinos and within 25 or 50 feet of door ways. To my knowledge, LSU has never banned smoking on campus, which is why this is an issue now.

I know that the military is treating e-cigs the same as regular cigs. the only bad thing I ever heard about them is that some people are getting pneumonia from the water vapor.

SELU banned smoking on campus in Hammond. They placed a couple designated smoking zones. I would think LSU would do something like that before just banning outright for real cigs. I do not know if SELU has any rule on ecigs.
It seems having a designated spot would at least be a compromised for all parties involved.

last year a saw a state trooper giving this lady shite for smoking an e cig outside of the bathroom in TS ....the lady explained and showed the cop that it wasn't a real cigarette and the cop told her to put it away or he would kick her out of the stadium .......
