Bundy/BLM: Sheriff: "Feds Strategizing for Raid"

The Feds are just fricking stupid enough to go it again and turn this into an armed conflict...
If they raid and shite goes down, you can bet your arse thousands of militia men will converge on the area and turn it into the wild west.

The executive director of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association says his sources inside the federal government warn that Washington’s weekend retreat in a dispute over grazing land in Nevada was only a move to distract attention and diffuse tensions, because a raid on the family’s ranch still is planned.
And there probably would be violence involved, said Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Graham County, Ariz.
“I don’t think it would be possible” to launch a raid without violence, he told WND Monday. “I don’t think the Bundys would lie down and be taken.”

sounds like the "Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association" is trying to rile up more support and get a little more press as the 15 minutes of this situation ends.

Agree, but put this in line with Reids comments yesterday and I wouldn't doubt if the Feds are really going to go in Waco style...
They should just take their whipping and walk away because this could be the situation that really wakes up a sleeping giant.

You can bet your arse they'll be back. They're just lining up the tanks and Blackhawks.
I told everyone who was celebrating about this that they were naive. The Feds are going to double down. They ALWAYS do. Waco, Act Two.

This is Harry Reid we are talking about here. Harry Reid is allegedly the world's foremost pederast, so he isn't constrained by traditional morality.

Because these cowboys are above the law?

Bring it on. I don't like the idea of my government being intimidated by a ragtag gang of survivalists and other malcontents.

But i bet youre happy with a bunch of ragtag survivalists and malcontents being intimidated by "your" government, aren't you ?

The Feds know what is on the line, they can't afford to lose, so does Bundy and his supporters. Neither will back down and it will be a blood bath before everything is said and done and the Feds will win. Then the Feds will use this to put a wedge between the "regular" gun owners and "militia types" gun owners. The Feds win if violence occurs, they control the message...

I really hope things slow down a little and Bundy uses the press to get his side out. He is in violation of the law. If the law is wrong or if there is something jicky going on, I wish his story could get out peacefully. I could never support a raid like is allegedly being planned. That is a nightmare waiting to happen and there is little way for the feds to win the presence war in this.

Were the supporters of the civil rights movement above the law? Neither scenario is different from the other. Bottom line of both was/is what they consider an injustice of the government.
It took years, and in some ways it still is, for civil rights to get their point across of what they considered injustices. This old cowboy is doing the same thing. Maybe one day in the future old Bundy's stand against the government might just have some merit to it.
If you are for civil rights how can you not be for rancher's rights?

It turns out that the BLM paid $900,000+ just for the wrangler who came to pick up the cattle. This for a back payment of $1,100,000 ?...
It's all about the turtles - or Dirty Harrys land grab.
Take your pick.

Sounds like typical government solutions to me

So you're all for the US Govt killing its citizens over insignificant things?
Awesome

And killed some of the cattle in the process.

This situation is screwed up on some many levels. First-off, why now? This has been going on since 1993, why the sudden urgency from the BLM. Secondly, why has the BLM not gone through the proper legal channels and filed a lien against the Bundy assets, instead of stealing private property. If he owed the IRS $1million dollars, they would not have stolen his cows.
It is truly amazing how much force the government is willing to use on it's own citizens, yet border agents and military personnel cannot fire unless fired upon.

Are you seriously comparing the non-violent civil disobedience of the Civil Rights movement with threats of violence from a rancher looking for something for nothing?
Bundy:
quote:
“I believe this is a sovereign state of Nevada,” Bundy recently told a radio reporter. “…I abide by all of Nevada state laws. But, I don’t recognize the United States Government as even existing.”
"Bundy’s assertion that any such action to round up cattle could lead to a “range war.”
"Cliven said he’d do “whatever it takes” to include physical force to stop such action."
Compared to MLK:
quote:
"Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend."
"I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law."
"Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
"The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood."
Don't even...

Saw on Megyn Kelly last night a guy who was there doing a documentary piece on the protest. He interviewed a fed guy who was one of the "enforcers". There was a point when the protesting cowboys were going to go after some of the cattle the feds had rounded up. He then said that the law officers had been given orders by the Metro Swat team people to shoot anyone trying to take the cattle back.
Right there in color on tape. Good God.
