It is. The allure of money.

I've got way more mgmt and people skills than people I've been in college with since day 1.
Those are skills that some people either have or don't have, IMO.

I was frat. I have an ME degree. You're all correct, it's the allure of money. I don't care, I love money and polos are expensive

There's alot of people coming out with as much (if not more) mechanical aptitude and experience than me and MUCH better grades. Those guys are going to make some boss very happy very soon.
I'm really good friends with one of them that just graduated. 4.0, can tear apart a car, dirt bike, you name it, and easy as hell to talk to. There's a reason they get paid so much.

Maybe not, but I've talked to several young guys lately who are FAF seeking engineering degrees. (Pretty intelligent guys TBH)

In my day just about all frat guys majored in Business and graduated in General Studies
I've been on both sides in telecom, spent years as a tech and now a few years in engineering, I have to admit, once you're in the office you forget about some of the little things and occasionally design something that you wouldn't have a few years ago.
The biggest thing for me though is that my boss wants me to follow design standards to the T, which just with my background has me SMH half the time, and of course the Techs complain even though I try to design to their liking. Another thing is on the engineering side they want it done as cheaply as possible and on the tech side they want it done in a way that's convenient for them. I'm caught in the middle.

BTW, I knew you were frat after seeing your boat purchase

Things may have changed a lot in the last 5 years in that department, but I was the only engineering major in my pledge class of about 30 guys, and there's only a few graduating in ME this year that are in a frat

There's a very small group of frat engineers (about the same number as attractive female non-civil engineers), but there's a metric shite ton of fratstars in cm.

Sounds like engineering school is a bunch of sissy boys. Put these boys to work and put some callus' on their hands.

Psh. I can pull wrenches with the best of them.
