Huge lol at Gregg Williams being on there.

Our superbowl winning Defensive Coordinator should not be on anyone's most hated list. fricktards.
GW was awesome! One of the best coaches the Saints have ever had.

It has to come down to Jason David and Brooks. Right?

The Saints were so good on defense, the offense did enough to get a decent lead, and then the Saints would try to run the clock out halfway through the third quarter.

I fricking LOATHE Carl Smith.

To be fair that was just as much, if not more Mora's fault.

Not going through 5 pages, but Russell Erxleben is the clear winner. Not only is he a POS as a person, but we used a first round draft pick on a straight on kicker/punter.

Carl thirdandlong Smith was a horrible OC.
Mora sealed his own fate by refusing to fire him.

Another in a long list of why John Mecom should be the most hated Saint. Go to the source of most of the problems with the Saints for a long time.

That bracket is terrible. Gregg Williams? Irv Smith?

I mean the next person who hates Irv Smith will be the first person to hate Irv Smith. As far as wasted first rounders go, is he even in the top 10?

Great point. I was only thinking about players, but you have picked the correct person.

I don't hate Mora as much because he was responsible for some of that defense (along with Sidwell, Capers, etc.).

Also the fact that he never won a playoff game with Peyton Manning at QB helped soften the blow.

Carl Smith was responsible for ONE THING: putting together an offensive gameplan. Yes, it had to suit Mora's philosophy. But still....

The only thing I truly hate Mora for was getting humiliated by the expansion Panthers, delivering his "diddly poo" speech after the game, and then quitting on the team a day later--ushering in the Mike Ditka Era.

Maybe Ditka put it together cause those two didn't like each other.

I am still amazed that Bobby Hebert was not in there at all.

Even though you could argue that Jim Finks was partly responsible, Bobby Hebert's holdout shut Jim Mora's window. He doesn't hold out, Fourcade would have still stunk and Hebert would have been the starting QB again by week 3 in 1990--maybe sooner.

In any case, he doesn't hold out, Finks doesn't panic and trade a 1, 2 and 3 for Steve Walsh either.

And I will never forget him doing his little "fly-by" in the Superdome after he signed with the Falcons.

Maybe they were afraid to cross him because he is on WWL Radio and is "the founding father of the Who Dat Nation"

Bobby sucked so it wouldn't have mattered.

"Sucked" was harsh. Fourcade and Walsh sucked. Hebert was a great fit for Mora. His five years as a starter for Mora, the Saints had a winning record every year, had 12 wins twice, and won a division title.

1990 might have been the best year for that defense, but having Fourcade and Walsh destroyed that season.

And those 3 high draft picks we gave up for Walsh--God only knows what the Saints could have gotten for that.

Yeah the shitty system that he wanted that Carl Smith implemented, the Carl Smith that you hate.

Bobby Hebert was young Mark Sanchez minus the playoff wins.

Two Vaughn Dunbar's and Mercury Hayes

Well...the crux of my argument was that Hebert was Tom Brady when you compare him to Fourcade.

And as I said before too, I have no clue why Fourcade isn't on the list. I should give him some of the blame for the Hebert holdout because those three games he pulled out of his arse in 1989 made Finks believe that he had the leverage.

He was better. They would've won more regular season games then lost in the playoffs. Just look at Walsh's '90 stats vs Hebert's '89 stats. Not a ton of difference.

Why hate a 3rd string QB because he isn't good?

Week 1 1990. MNF vs. San Francisco. 13-12. One of those "Carl Smith Specials." One first down away from victory up 12-10. They throw an incomplete bomb on 3rd and short. The 49ers get the ball back, complete a bomb on the first play, kick a FG and win.

I will always remember that game. I will always remember walking out of the Dome that night thinking "OMG Fourcade is a disaster. Whoever on the coaching staff and in the front office thought he was a starting QB is smoking crack."

Fourcade was 12-34 with 0 TDs and 3 INTs. And they still had the 49ers dead to rights. I just went back and looked it up to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Held the 49ers at the peak of their dynasty to 13 points and STILL lost. That was the "it's never gonna happen" moment for me.
