Seen him on any draft boards?
nah, but his stock isnt really going anywhere. if he's a 2nd rounder now he will be one next year. he could stay and possibly graduate but if he is in a situation where he needs to take care of his family then he's gotta do what he's gotta do. whether or not its a good or bad decision according to fans .

A. He'll never get double teamed in the NBA, so that's not an issue.
B. He is what he is, and he is Definitely not going to get any better instruction with the high school staff that occupies the LSU bench.
I appreciate his time at LSU, but now is the time to try to make it in the NBA or not

Nobody in the NBA will double team him. He should leave.

im not even sure job could hang in the d league. even without double teaming he is slow on the court for the most part

Wat. JOB played super well this year and greatly increased his stock. He shot better, passed the ball better, and showed much better awareness. Only thing he does poorly is his high turnover numbers.
Not sure how you can claim this after he developed a very good mid range shot.

at times he did show flashes that he had improved all of that but the story of JOB at LSU is a guy that is unstoppable for a streak and then disappears for a streak.

We are here at the tournament. Last night was chatting with an agent who is here watching prospects. She (yes, a female sports agent) said JOB should definitely come out this year. She says the pro scouts are seeing things we are not. For example the Vandy game was officiated more in the style of NBA play and he had a great game.
Not saying I agree with her assessment, but I will say I don't think his stock will get any higher.

This. And I think he'll do alright.

He's not going to get doubled in the NBA, and he won't be asked to play with his back to the basket. It will be a much more free flowing game. He can rebound, and that will translate. However, for him to be successful, he has to show he can hit the mid-range jumper off the pick and pop. This coaching staff is unfamiliar with the pick and roll, but JOB showed he can hit jumpers with some consistency. Glenn Davis and Brandon Bass are both "short" 4's who have made a living in the league playing exactly like JOB. If he's dedicated, there's no reason to think he can't do the same

Very interesting viewpoint.
Thanks for sharing.
He did improve parts of his game this year, but I think he was a bit "bogged down" by our offense that was built all around him.
I think he'll go too.
I wish him well, he's a very nice young man.

Anyone (OP) saying he needs to come back or will come back is clueless IMO.
I wish JOB well in all of his future endeavors. Just no need to hash and rehash this as LSU fans.

ORLY? How NBA ready does he look to you?

Hes the most ready that he will ever be. Hes not going to all of a sudden drastically improve from now til next year. He is what he is. His stock is as high as it will ever be. 1 more year wont make him more NBA ready.

He's not coming back. It's futile to argue otherwise.

Yes it would IMO. However, he won't return to LSU. But he could use another year in the college game.

I agree. He has shown improvement this year. If the big kid from Texas can start at C, JOB can play his natural PF position and perhaps improve his draft status.

That's not true.
Most mock drafts have him lower than they did last year.
