This.

Hate playing against him. Would love him on my team. PERIOD.

And from what I gather he would be a good addition to the community.

WE SHOULD

The Panthers are paying him 3 million this season, he's going to a contender for cheap. He wants to win.

Not a chance. I really can't stand the guy. Obviously I'd want him to succeed while he was here, but the color of his jersey wouldn't make me like the person any more

Edit: I'm not saying I would mind having him here. He's a stud WR and would absolutely help us. I just wouldn't like him

probably not. he's old and was unproductive last year. he'll come on the cheap.

I'm down for having him here. I don't like him personally, but I'd like to have him on this team. shite, even if it's just for 2 games

Could he handle not being the prime target? He'd probably settle in behind Graham, Colston and the running backs. Similar to Lance Moore on the priority chart. Could he swallow his pride in exchange for winning? Think about that...asking Steve Smith to NOT be a bitch. Tall order.

yeah, i'm kind of the same way. Sure he's older but he played on offense with no other real threats around him.

put him on this team with a Top QB and other proven pass catchers like Jimmy and Colston... fricking a.

Bring him in. Maybe he can teach Jimmy how to be more physical and not back down from tough DBs.

Oh yes, let's turn this into JG is a pussy thread. I like where you are going.

Steve Smith is a gritty vet but likely only has a couple of years left with moderate production. I think he would be good for the young receivers but I don't think he wants the veteran minimum that we could offer him.

He had 6 catches for 51 yds and a TD v Seattle. Sign him on that alone

We just traded/almost released a player making the same amount of money as Steve Smith. We can't afford him.

Y'all think he's going to come over here for the vet minimum?

Some team will pay at least 2 million for him, probably more. Doubt we can match that. Would love to have him.

He is going to end up in Balt. They couldn't dial the phone fast enough.

I think I read where the Panthers have no WRs that have an NFL catch on their roster, currently. I guess they'll just run Cam all the time.

Bottom line, we need receivers, Steve Smith needs revenge and rings.. We can provide both
