Same here. I like Bosh. He sacrificed the most when it comes to stats and what not when he joined the Heat. I also think hes more important to the Heat than D.Wade

You take Bosh off the Heat, you wouldnt have to guard any of their bigs and all down low guys could play with a foot in the paint and around the rim. Which would slow down LBJ and Wade.

And he has way more range than Wade. Which is funny.

Regarding gasol and saying that people who Really know basketball know his worth: last year he was voted defensive player of the year by the writers. But the coaches had him 2nd or 3rd team at his position. So he gets plenty of love from the media.

Yeah and I get that. But his position also has guys like Dwight, Noah, Hibbert, etc. And when it comes to blocks, they all were better than Marc. And when it comes to DPOY, people tend to look at blocks a lot which is why Ibaka is always such a popular name. And all of those guys are more than worthy to get the DPOY.

But, Gasol was 5th in defensive rating and #2 in DWS last year. And werent Memphis the #1 defensive team last year? Gasol was the best defensive player on the #1 defensive team. And he does a lot of things that dont show up on the stat sheet when it comes to D. Hes 1 of the smartest defenders in the league and understands how to best be effective on the D end. And wasnt the + / - with Gasol on / off the court 1 of the biggest in the league? Especially on the D end?

He won it last year, but I agree other players def were worthy enough to win it. He was just the best defensive player on the best defensive team in the NBA. Still though, was def a top 3 D player last year.

Edit: And its not like its a knock on him for only being on the 2nd team all D That still shows that the people that know basketball love Gasol.

Just look at our defensive #'s before and after his return from injury. We've been in the top 3 of the league since his return.

For example, guys like Dwight Howard, Griffin and LBJ dont fit the bill for this. They are great, but people have issues with them.

I can understand some people hating Howard and maybe even Griffin.

I will never understand the hate for LeBron.

Really??

Im not a LBJ hater at all or anything like that. Hes a great guy that has never been in trouble. And I know you love him. But I can def see why people dont like LBJ. "The Decision" wasnt his best moment. And it didnt bother me as much as others. But it def rubbed people the wrong way.

Then you're just being a homer.

Hell, I'm as Spurs-centric as they come, and even I could understand why some could hate Duncan, Bowen, and Ginobili.

Come on, now.

Bowen, absolutely.

Ginobili, sure.

Duncan. No way. I hate the Spurs, but I have nothing but respect for Duncan. Dude's pretty much indisputably a top 10 all time player and the best to have ever player his position, and has never had anything bad said about him by anyone ever, doesn't act like a conceited prick, and works his arse off.

What can you possibly hate about Duncan besides him being a good player on a team that beats yours?

Ok let me put it this way.

The hate has been overblown for someone who has not done much wrong.

People who still complain about tDecision is simply butthurt about it. He deserved that stage.

I guess the one thing I never liked about LeBron was his performance in Game 6 of the 2011 finals. It would frustrate me to ever think about that game.

Oh yea I agree to an extent. If you lived in Ohio you would still be pissed about that. And its not that he left or whatever. Its that he left and they werent able to get anything in return for him. At least when Melo left he told Denver he wanted to go and they got a lot of quality players for him. Same thing with Dwight. At least they gave their teams something in return and help them rebuild.

LBJ just walked and Cleveland couldnt do anything about it.

And you gotta realize LBJ is 1 of the biggest stars on the face of the planet. If he does 1 thing even borderline wrong, its gonna be blown out of proportion. His every move is under a microscope.

But yea, LBJ disappearing in a few clutch moments / passing the ball in the big time is part of it as well.

i dont dislike LBJ at all. But I can understand why some people are still sour on him.

I hate Duncan, I think he's boring as frick

I also hate Gasol because people claim he's a top 10 NBA player and I can't stand overrated players. Same reason that I hate Kobe

I dont give a shite if a guy is boring to watch. Duncans the greatest PF of all time. What he does is truly becoming a lost art in modern day basketball. All these high flying jumper dunker guys are fun to watch and all that. But what happens when those guys get hurt or get older and arent as explosive? They become less effective. Duncan is 37years old and is still an elite PF.

Ive never heard people claim Gasol is a top 10 player. But he is a top 3 C in the game today. Wouldnt call him overrated at all.
