I just stopped wanting cigarettes the last few days and it's kind of weird. I've smoked at least a pack a day for close to 10 years and the last few days I've smoked 1 or 2. I honestly feel like I could just stop right now like I never smoked to begin with. Anyone else experience this before?

I quit because I didnt want to smoke anymore. Took me a full year to be done with them though.

You should stop then!

It doesn't sound normal. I would go and get full blood work done just to be safe and then get it done again in 6-12 months and see how much healthier you are!

I'm glad I never picked up this gross habit. I couldn't stand to see how much it costs a year.

For God's sake, light up this very moment before you quit completely!

I stopped smoking and drinking about 30 years ago. I saw a photo of myself holding my infant son in my lap with a beer in my hand. I literally said to myself: what's wrong with this picture and the rest his history.

That is how I quit. No gum and no patches. I still have two packs in the night stand and I just hit three years without a smoke.

FYI - smoked close to three packs a day. I even smoked in the shower from time to time

I recently just quit and it's been easy for me. I was never a pack a day but I was probably around 8-10 a day at least and I just said I wanted to quit before it got out of control. I loved smoking while drinking and just when I got bored. I stopped after new years and have only cheated twice and both times I got halfway through and realized I wasn't even enjoying it and put it out. I just feel so much better when I don't smoke and that's why it's been easy for me so far.

Same thing here...just didnt feel like buying another pack on Monday after smoking for fifteen years. I did buy a 20 pack of Nicorette last night though cause I knew I was going to be drinking tonight and wanted to have something just in case.

About 8 years ago, I lit up and it kinda sucked. I threw the pack away, haven't had a cigarette since.
