See if the court allows deferred adjudiction.

We made our son go to the hearing. The judge saw that he was a good guy and contrite and made him do community service at the court for several hours. Was a good learning experience for him.

26 in a 20 is a brain fart we all make from time to time. Don't drop the bomb on him for this, but sternly warn him to up his game while driving.

What parish?

Tickets for six over are pretty easy to get fixed. School zone or not.

Most speedos on old cars bounce at low speeds...mine is off 6mph at 20...and 17mph at 100.

We're in Vermilion Parish and son got a ticket for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle (dark, cops siren lights and headlights on, waving a flashlight ... son thought cop was motioning for him to GO and he wasn't).

Anyway, we were told that he'll go to juvenile court and it'll be more like a warning and to scare the crap out of him. Good. We are told it won't go on his record.

Maybe this applies to your son's case?? Good luck.

If you are in Baton Rouge, you have to take them to juvi court down by airport. The judge gives them driving school and you get to pay ticket. Bring cash. I've been there

I spoke to someone with the EBR juvenile dept.! They could not tell me much because his ticket is not in their computer system yet! Normally takes 4-6 weeks for tickets to "show up in their system" I was told that someone from their office will call me with a court date! Thanks for the help

not that bad though. I mean barely over the limit. School zone doubles the initial fine though.
