And of course no one is answering the phone ! Maybe closed due to weather? East Baton Rouge?

Just call the court or police agency and offer to pay and ask them to file it, without reporting to State...if no subsequent ticket in 3 or 6 months, they won't report it to the State and it won't be on record.

Calm down, you don't need to handle it today. Is your son in school? If not, I'd make him figure out how to go about it and do the follow up.

teen court

Was a straight comedy show

Went when I was 15 for a seatbelt ticket. It was even better when I had to go back for "jury duty".

When I was 16 there was no way to just pay the ticket.. You had to go before the judge so he could lecture your arse on the dangers of being a cum filled shithead teenager.

Maybe step away from Tigerdroppings, take a breath, and realize your kid got a speeding ticket. Unless it's due tomorrow, you and your son aren't going to get arrested if it's not paid today

Some places allow you to call and get driving school prior to going to court and allow you to get out of the ticket that way. Call the clerk and find out.

On the back of the damn ticket it says if u wish to plead guilty you may bring or mail ticket within 15 days. Today is the 15th day. What does that mean

There should be a court date listed on the ticket?

ask the police chief for an Article 894. no tickets for 6 mos following the first one and it will stay off record.

This is such horrible advice in so many ways

It means you waited until the last minute or your son did not tell you about the ticket right away. In that case, yes, you may need to get it done today. Either way, not a whole lot of responsibility being taken in this whole scenario.

Just mail the ticket today so it is postmarked and hope they don't double the fine or put out a bench warrant.

Here in Calcasieu parish I had to appear in a juvenile court with my son for a running a stop light ticket. The judge ask him questions and gave all the offenders a lecture. Then he had to complete a safe driving workbook.

A) You don't ask police for something that is done in court.
B) Blowing your ONE 894 on a fricking speeding ticket is the most idiotic thing anyone could ever do. Save that for when Jr. gets his first DWI leaving Reggie's in a few years.

Exactly I think 892.1 operates the same as 894 but is specifically for traffic infractions
