Get a ticket to the capital city of Belize or Costa Rica and then another to an island or beach town there. Then get a room in a small hotel or beach casita. Then rent a quad or off-road golf cart and pick where YOU want to eat and set up excursions and charters to go do and see things YOU want to do. All the bars will have normally priced drinks with normal pours. You can go into town and buy your own food and cook it if you want. You won't be stuck around honeymooners or drunk kids. You won't be stuck in a cabin.
ding ding ding
resorts are for lazy people..same with cruises.

I have fun on cruises. But I could have fun with just about anything.
Is it the most fun vacation? Probably not. But if you don't have fun on a cruise, you're probably not that fun at parties

I don't understand why people would go on one. The rooms are tiny, it's packed, you are stuck on there like prison going where someone else takes you, choosing from the limited proscribed entertainment options they offer you (and probably fighting other people to do so) eating their overpriced Ryan's Steakhouse bullshite, getting raped for drinks because they have a monopoly on them while you are there. Then you go to some port for a limited amount of time and over-run it with fellow passengers. No way.
frick "all inclusive" places too. That's like transporting the goddamn suburbs to the tropics. May as well just go to the neighborhood swimming pool and put up some tiki torches.

ALL THIS
especially the part about all inclusive resorts. If I'm going to another country, I want to see that country, its natural beauty, and its people. Not hang around a pool with a bunch of people drinking and eating all day, or hang out on the resort's tiny sliver of beach. Part of the fun to me is finding out good places to eat and uncrowded spots.

Seriously. Some people just want to get away for a few days on the cheap without much hassle. A cruise allows them to do just that.
Lulz at the poster railing on cruise cabins when they're pretty much made just to sleep in.

We only go as a big group now.
Ski trip got cancelled and we joined up with other friends for a cruise. Key West, Nassau, Freeport. Did this cruise once before and was pleasantly surprised.

Some people here take themselves way too seriously. Cruises are fun. Not the best way to take a vacation but they're alright. Yes there are trashy people on them. Good luck avoiding trashy people especially since most here live in Louisiana. It also depends what port you leave out of. Cape Canaveral is significantly less trashy than Jax for example.

The nurse interviewed is wrong or at least she didn't know it was norovirus. That shite is highly contagious and it can live on exposed surfaces for a long time. You have to bleach everything to destroy it. It's a major cause of food poisoning.
I've never seen the allure of cruises except the ones to Alaska maybe.

I have no interest in going on a cruise.
Maybe in Europe one day, but not a Carribean one with a bunch of mouth-breathers.

Parties are pretty trashy bro. How bout you quit hitting beer bongs with your bros and get a job so you can move out of your mom's trailer?

Adult parties typically by invitation only, could explain why you never make it out.
Oh, and Crystal Cruises FTW. They stay over night at ports and are all inclusive. Not the typical cruise feel whatsoever. On most cruises, you get the impression that they are trying to rip you off the entire time but this one is not like that at all, more like a floating hotel. But, as you could imagine, tons of old folk so dont expect to make friends.

I'm of the mindset that I can have a great time wherever I go because of the people I am with. Guess I'm trashy then.

"great times" are the essence of trash. Enjoy your natty lights and songs about tractors.

I wonder how many posters railing on how trashy cruises have been out on Bourbon Street one or 100 times.
