lol You should go look at rape statistics. You're way off base.

you didn't tell me what I'm off base about.
surely you don't object to protection against malevolent prosecutions?

This.

Now that Winston's DNA is officially all over this girl, I don't see this case going quietly into the night.

As for the height discrepancy, (not that it matters any more,) if she ws drugged, she was probably unable to estimate it, and even if not, you probably aren't thinking exactly about height when you're being raped. And as has been said, women suck at heights and weights

The evidence, and story so far are making this seem highly unlikely.

I'm interested in what the roommate has to say about this situation.

Rape is not about getting your rocks off.

It's about power and control.

His girlfriend coming to town and his likelihood of having sex with her - not raping her - a day later has zero to do with his alleged action of raping this girl.

You don't understand it because you're not a rapist. And that's a good thing.

I know, I know I am. Being this far from the victim and accused it's just my guess. If he did it I'll feel horrible for her. If he didn't I feel bad for him as well. It's just my guess right now.

Didn't this girl leave FSU and Tallahassee earlier this year?

I mean, I put myself in her shoes.

I am away at school, away from my family and in a town where football is everything.

I'm raped by some guy. I go to the police and get a rape kit done - which can be as invasive and traumatizing as the rape itself.

I identify the guy. I find out he's a big deal football player. The police detective actually tries to persuade me not to press charges because "football is a big deal here and your life will be made miserable".

I get stonewalled by the police and it seems the investigation is going nowhere for months.

I could totally see her realizing she isn't getting any justice so she decides to move away and try and put it behind her and get on with her life.

Acquaintance rape happens every single night on every single college campus and most women do not report it.

It happened to my sister at Alabama.

For every attention whore who cries rape the morning after, there are probably 10 women who are date raped and never tell anyone but their closest friends.

This thing is going to get very ugly, I'm afraid.

You make great points. I'm deeply sorry about your sister. Yeah, date rape is real.

We should have known Jameis and her were together when his lawyer said he had two witness affidavits.

So its the two girls (if what RollTide says is true that her friend went with her to the cops)

against the players.

shite is getting real.

There will be a case.

Braxton Miller.

You never said it had to be an FSU back-up QB.

TPD is also about to be dragged through the mud on this because it sounds like there was an attempt to cover this whole thing up for whatever reason.

OK... this is where the issue gets really really mirky for me. If Winston was indeed innocent of the rape and it was consensual, then someone please explain the "cover-up" made by the TPD and the Detective. They told FSUs attorney, which is Winstons lawyer, of the event when it was reported that Winston was the suspect and was the guy the girl IDed, and failed to notify the girls legal team that they did notify Winston and his legal team. And then they give Winstons lawyer the full copy of the police report that was filed, but failed to do that for the girl. And then it takes them 4 months to notify the girl and her family the results of her rape kit and blood work. Then, after all that, the TPD then failed to not only investigate him or collect a DNA sample from him, but they didnt even put his name under the suspect list after the girl IDed him and said it was him. Its almost like they just thought if they ignored the girl and her family long enough she would just go away. And it sounds like she did. Until that reporter broke the story a few weeks ago.

If he was innocent and could prove he was innocent, why not just take care of it then and be done with it instead of covering it up like they did? And i full believe the lawyer and PD worked together to try and keep this hush-hush.

Yep.

And the State's Attorney - Willie Meggs - is a good dude and a good lawyer.

Who is from a old Tallahassee family and an alum of FSU and FSU Law. With multiple family members who went to FSU.

He is going to be bending over backwards to show impartiality and that will, unfortunately for Jameis, be something that could make prosecution more likely.

I think Baylor will jump them. Either way, Bama will skullfrick tOSU or Baylor with no regard for human life. The turn of events in this story are incredible. Saban must have deal with the devil himself.

There will be a case. And that is way more important than any football game.
