Im pretty sure they buy their tickets just like you, sir. So in order to ban them you would have to refund them. Then what would you do with the giant empty section, $5 general admission with $10 TAF fee to cover the refund?

What a bunch of crap. Over reaction on everyone involved. The king needs to lay off some and the students need to lay off a bit or else the chipping away of Tiger Stadium will continue and will be gone in a hurry. Almost gone now. Maybe I am wrong but damn....
Oh and by the way, what a great win by the Tigers yesterday !! Cheers to the whole team.

Good idea.
Another, we need to have a set of clean lyrics for each song. That way, the rest of us can drown out the student section (as when most of us cheer "L-S-U" and not "kick their a--" on 1st down).
With Neck, for example, nobody knows "talking outside of the neck". So everyone stays silent while the students cheer STTDB. So, instead of STTD, we could all sing "let's go tigers win" or something more clever.

Overall how are LSU's students? Do they typically conduct themselves with class?

How long until the students start signing chants at predetermined stages of the game regardless of the band playing a song?
Students could easily sing OooweeeOooo or STTDB without any involvement from the band.
Start the chant with 5 minutes left in each quarter. Pretty simple...basically need to get a few large groups of students to get together and make the decision to do this.
Greeks would be the starting point solely with their numbers.
LSU is fighting a losing battle trying to stop the students from cheering however they want.

I love the student section...they can do no wrong in my opinion...man we are from louisiana and we cuss bruh...plus these are college kids...this is, and I am a professional and wear a suit and tie every day, one of the purest things that damn stadium has these days...

Lol this already happens, you just cant hear it from whole stadium. Yesterday 1/4 of section did oweo chant in 4th quarter after our last score i believe.
Side note: the "it must suck, to be, a florida gator" chant while doing the chomp was the most fun ive had since neck in the stadium

Good. Band just needs to play basic songs and stop with redoing the songs. Play the songs for each down, the pregame, and nothing else. Let them pipe in music until these idiots learn some measure of respect.
There is a huge difference with what students sections of the past chanted and what these morons are chanting. Sick of hearing them be called "kids".

My brother started the OweO chant yesterday...it caught on instantly.
During the chomp-gator-suck chant, we looked at each other and said "this is too perfect".

Why wouldn't it? If they start saying this idiotic crap like STTDB during normal songs and not playing songs outside of actual LSU songs then you have one other option.
Set up a ton of Marshalls/Officers throughout the student section. They chant those vulgarities, kick them out of the game. If a student is kicked out twice, their tickets are revoked and they aren't allowed to enter the student section again.
Without any form of consequences that directly effect them, these idiots will continue with their stupidity.

You sound like a consultant with great pie-in-the-sky ideas but with no eye for practicality.
Marshalls are going to need to throw out 15,000 students at a time. I am sure that will go over super well.
If the band completely stops playing other songs, then there will be a cheer leading section that develops within the student body. This happens at soccer matches across the world that don't have bands and Duke does it for basketball games.
If you think the band is the root cause, then you are missing the picture. The band just makes things a little easier for everyone.
