and the toothless response to Camgate, JFF, the shady shite going on in LA with Bama recruits. The NCAA is unwilling and/or unable to enforce its own rules. LSU should act accordingly and push the envelope aggressively, or risk being left behind by other schools.

Pretty obvious what's going on:
If suspending you will cost the NCAA money, minor suspension.
If your suspension won't really effect the NCAA, ban.
All about the benjamins.

Don't forget the bullshite levied against USC, especially in lieu of what they have "handed" down for sanctions for much more egregious actions by other schools.

The SEC should disband from the NCAA and just play each other. Pay players and you'll take all the good talent from the NCAA. Maybe the NFL could help subsidize it as a sort of minor league farm system.

I see nothing wrong with this enforcement. They punished him for violating the "spirit of the rule," not for breaking the letter of the law. Basically, he weaseled his way around a rule and caused a bit of trouble, so he has to sit in the corner for a bit.
Also, this is a college students' extra-curricular activity, and most of us are grown men, so there's no reason for us to give two shits about this anyway. Therefore, everything is ok.

It really is true. they are gutless and toothless at this point. unless they have a video of you accepting the check and and shaking hands with boosters while they hand you the keys to a sports car on signing day, you will walk.

Lsu and the rest of college sports are breaking rules just fine, they don't need more permission.
