Lets talk about storing coffee

Now, I know this is the TD.com FDB board. So, I know most people know a farmer in Colombia, who supplies them with the freshest coffee beans on a daily basis.
But how do you store this coffee? I store mine (ground) at room temperature. I feel the fresh 'smell' is gone after about a week using this method, though. I used to throw mine in the fridge, though, but I don't do this anymore. I know of some people that throw it in the freezer, but I have never done this.
A. Room Temperature
B. Fridge
C. Freezer

Room temp, air tight...just the way I bought it.

farmer in Colombia,
Colombian coffee is crap.
I have Jamaican Blue Mountain Special Reserve Elite flown in and hand delivered by a real Jamaican. I have a special vacuum sealed pressure chamber inside a custom made coffee cellar that keeps the beans at the perfect temperature and humidity. I use a handcrafted swiss made grinder. I grind the beans in the cellar.

I buy the whole beans once a week. I go to Whole Foods, but most decent sized grocery stores have at least some whole beans. I grind the beans at home immediately before using.
Small grinders aren't expensive. You can pick up a decent one for $20-$30.

I re-use one of the cafe du monde tin containers.
Also throwing coffee in the freezer kills it, especially whole beans.

buy enough whole beans on Sundays to last me the week. grind half on Sunday night and put in a cupboard (i.e. - room temp) in a burp-sealed plastic container. then grind the other half on Wednesday night and repeat. also always have some Cool Brew in the fridge.

With a vacuum sealer room temp, without freezer time.

You can store it room temp in the bag as long as it's whole bean. Once coffee is ground, it becomes stale after about 15 minutes.

I store my whole coffee beans at room temperature and grind my beans directly before brewing.
The taste difference between coffee at my girlfriend's (room temp storage, already ground beans purchased) and my coffee (using freshly ground beans) isn't even close
