Anyone disappointed in the "flashback" episode last night?

I initially thought doing a 10 year flashback with Mike would be a problem but they found a decent story out of it. The Harvey/Donna/Jessica stuff was spot on. Donna's face when Harvey chose professional Donna over relationship Donna, so sad.

I get what you are saying. I guess they have set the bar so high that to me it came off a little flat.

I don't feel like it really added anything to the story at all.

We all probably were able to figure that Mike's buddy screwed him out of college.
We finally found out 100% that Donna and Harvey had been intimate, but I didn't really care in the first place.

There hasn't been nearly as much law in this season.

It was a decent episode but I agree with this.

The best part was what they set up going forward with Harvey and Jessica. Looking forward to that.

I also really couldn't care any less about the storyline with Harvey's old boss.

It filled it some more background on the characters. I liked the parallels between Jessica pulling off the firm takeover and Harvey attempting to do the same. It explained why Mike couldn't go to Harvard and why he was so loyal to Trevor.

Also showed how Harvey and Donna's relationship evolved. (that would have been a terrifying threesome, though).

Plus it left us with a nice little cliffhanger. Not the best episode from a story progession standpoint, but I still thought it was on par with the rest of the season.

I wouldn't be surprised if the situation with Harvey's old boss not wanting to disclose in the past holds the key to Harvey's being able to win the current case.

Spot on. I wonder if Louis backs Harvey on the takeover?

I think he would. But does it even matter?

Darby holds the power, not Jessica.

I'm guessing Harvey and Jessica patch things up and get majority ownership back from Darby, especially since Darby's right hand man is trying to undercut Harvey on the Hessington trial.

I thought the whole thing with Louis was a bit much trying to add in some comic relief. I think the show already does a great job of providing comic relief naturally.

The ending was badass though

Did you watch? It is now officially a retarded show and I will never watch again. I mean...one lawyer sues another in a mock trial for custody over a cat one is babysitting and the entire firm of $1000 an hour lawyers sits in? fricking RETARDED!!!!!

I love this show and hate complaining about it, BUT:

I'm tired of the Louis/Nigel mudding/cat nonsense. Its just stupid. They've dumbed down Louis to a clown, a cartoon character, basically Michael Scott. Hopefully this episode ends that and we get to see more of why Louis is actually an elite lawyer at a major firm.

The Ava stuff hasn't gotten really stale. I understand getting Catelyn Stark probably came with them giving her a multi episode arc. 2-3 episodes would have been fine. But a whole season for this one case? Its not even close to being interesting enough for me to care about it for that long.
