I'm tired of the Louis/Nigel mudding/cat nonsense. Its just stupid. They've dumbed down Louis to a clown, a cartoon character, basically Michael Scott. Hopefully this episode ends that and we get to see more of why Louis is actually an elite lawyer at a major firm.

I think this was it. Basically it was a way to get Louis the associates back and add some comic relief to a season that has seemed to be more serious than the last two

The Ava stuff hasn't gotten really stale. I understand getting Catelyn Stark probably came with them giving her a multi episode arc. 2-3 episodes would have been fine. But a whole season for this one case? Its not even close to being interesting enough for me to care about it for that long.

Meh, I don't mind it. I liked the conflicts it brought up between all the characters without having to spend too much time talking about just the trial

Tonight exemplified how this story is about the merger more than anything.

While the cat "lawsuit" was a bit silly, I think that point was that Louis is a mentor of sorts to Rachel, and she's appreciative of it. Also... she has the chops to be a good lawyer. Louis also was shown to be a better leader for the associates than Nigel, and that while he did incessantly badger Harold, he also covered for Harold, and Harold is a better lawyer for it. Also, Louis now gets the associates back.

Stealing a cat and then suing to get custody of said cat? Yeah... that's just stupid.

I'm so/so, it didn't "jump the shark", but the dolphin sure. Need to get back to case work, not just "Boy Genius finds loophole weekly". Merger stuff is old, in & out with each other, and suddenly Harvey surrenders, just not a good direction.

Glad to see some other Suits watchers on here.

I started Season 1 On Demand a couple years ago after it was already over, and got to Episode 10 before they were all taken off. I found out a couple months ago they were on Prime, so I am just now up to speed.

Season 3 is going great so far, but I have one minor complaint. It seems like every time they are having trouble with a case (and this may date back to the Season 2 as well), they (Mike or Harvey) randomly put it together by having an irrelevant conversation with someone usually not involved with the case. The other person will usually say something, and then Mike or Harvey will say "That's it!", and the case is solved.

That's what case work has always been.

I agree. And Harvey knocking that dude out was great.
But give me more of that. More Varys/merger shite than this ridiculous case that they've added a new twist and character to every week, to the point where its so convoluted that i have no clue whats going on half the time. It takes Mikes weekly "ah ha!" discovery to bring the show back from the 3rd dream level in Inception

The Hardman drama was so much more interesting because characters we've come to care about, for better or worse, had things at stake. Here, i couldn't care less about what happens to Ava.

Good episode.

Still don't like that Louis has basically had no use to the firm this season, though.

He has a use. He is just doing other shite.

Harvey and Mike are on 1 murder case. A lot more shite goes on at a firm than 1 case

I am not a lawyer but I am pretty sure the basis for this and the past couple of episodes isnt quite possible. Charging a British citizen in the USA fro murders in Africa. Some jurisdictional problems going on there.

You really gonna complain about that when the show's about a guy with a good memory pretending to be a lawyer?
