Current roster look (7/4/13 8:20pm)

PG: Jrue Holiday, Pierre Jackson, Brian Roberts
SG: Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, Austin Rivers
SF: Darius Miller, Lance Thomas
PF: Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson
C: Jeff Withey, Jason Smith
Am I missing anything? This looks like our group at the moment.
Where do we go from here? I'm not sure how much Withey's salary is so I don't know how much money's left. I know we still have the MLE to use and about a few million. I guess we're going to resign Aminu and try to get another player on the cheap. Who goes?

Pierre might not even make the team with a non guaranteed contract plus Roberts and Rivers and you have him 2nd string? Same with Whitney. He's not starting nor is a 2nd round contract guaranteed.

I bet Pierre makes it. He's been getting a lot of praise. Many are viewing him as a steal. We'll see how he does in Vegas.

Think you should put SF: Tyreke/Anderson before Miller
We wouldn't start him
So we got Withey??

I see us re-signing Aminu and going after a bargain center. Someone like Mozgov, Turiaf, or Pachulia would fill a void that we have. Having Dwight, Gasol, and Duncan in our conference, we'll need some bulk down low to take some minutes off of Davis. Withey, nor Smith are capable defenders of the bigger centers.
Jrue Holliday/Brian Roberts
Eric Gordon/Tyreke Evans/Austin Rivers
Aminu/Darius Miller
Anthony Davis/Ryan Anderson
Zaza (or Mozgov, Turiaf)/Jason Smith/Withey
Tyreke would get starters minutes, being the primary backup for Jrue, EG, and Aminu, and Anderson would accumulate more minutes than whoever our starting center is, while Davis gets many minutes at the 5.

I am just going to rank the players
1) Jrue
2) Gordon
3) Davis
4) Tyreke
5) Anderson
6) J Smith
7) Rivers
8) Roberts
9) Thomas
10) Jackson
11) Withey
12) Miller
Team needs a solid small forward and center to be worthy of the playoffs next year. They have to be no worse than the 7th and 8th players, IMO.
Aminu and a healthy Zaza would probably be enough.

Wow, that's ridiculous. I'm guessing we probably use the room exception to bring back Aminu, and use the 6.7 mil to bring in a center.

Starting 5 as of now:
Jrue, EG, Ryno, AD, Smiht
Come off the bench with Reke, Rivers, withey, miller, Roberts, Pierre.
ETA: sign Aminu and he starts and then bring ryno off the bench. Solid.

Smith would start over Withey
the backcourt is mind numbing compared to last year.
AFA comes back, and rightfully so. He won't have to dribble.

I agree with that, but I don't think we'll have to worry about it. I definitely expect to sign a 5 before the end of the FA period.
