am a big fan of Evans but if this tweet is true, it'd be a pretty big bummer. I'd have serious concerns about his ability to come in here and be willing to improve his game the way the coaches want.

I'd have to think that after being part of the dumpster fire that is Sacramento, he'll love it here. I can't blame the guy for not playing a different position, especially since I'm not really sure I could see him there anyway

I don't like this if he's that adamant against playing sf.

then they have to get somebody that can knock down a jumper with consistency at the 3, even if its a bench guy that gets a lot of minutes.

Darius Miller hit 39% from 3. Hopefully they'll get someone else, but if they don't he looked like he might work out as the long term backup SF.

Let's all call Dell and let him know we don't approve of this one.

Eric Gordon and Robin Lopez for Tyreke S&T and Demarcus Cousins.

If we're still linked to Tyreke after today I'd say Demps is planning/hoping to move Gordon.

I'm on record saying that Demps and Gordon are attached at the hip. Now, I believe I'm wrong. I just have a feeling all things are pointing to Gordon being outta here. All the frustration Monty/Demps seemed to have with Gordon has seemed to at least has reached the breaking point.

I don't see any franchise taking on Gordon's contact, but who knows? Gordon's obvious not wanting to be here, the blowup on the bench last season, not mentioning his name anytime during the draft, and now all this smoke with Evans. He's gotta be gone?

Took this from a Kings message board. Don't know how credible it is though. quote:@whatelvirosaid 14 min The New Orleans Pelicans are reportedly making Tyreke Evans a large offer, starting at $11,378,284.
If true, we know Demps is the wrong man for the job.

If they sign and trade Evans for Gordon, sign Iggy and copeland with the remaining money so our roster looks like:

Holiday / Vasquez
Evans / Rivers
Iggy / Copeland / Aminu
AD / RA
Lopez / Smiht

I'd be a happy camper honestly. No idea if the numbers work out, but I would like it a lot.

I just don't see them giving up on Gordon. If they can't convince Evans to play SF in our system, then I think they move on.

I see that roster as being a dumpster fire offensively. But we'll see.

Anyway, I don't think Gordon would be going to the Kings.

My gut would be that we have a separate deal for him to go elsewhere. Gordon on the Kings makes no sense.

I don't think Aminu comes back but, instead, Darius Miller stays as a backup 3.

T-Wolves?

They've got a shite-ton of cap space thanks to AK47 opting out and are chasing Kevin Martin, amongst others, to fill their hole at the 2.

What about a sign and 3 team trade? Are we ruling out that possibility?

Also, remember, until the 15th, Gordon has to agree to go to a team.

So we'd have to hold off on any trade until then. Because he's probably not willingly going to the Wolves.

So, trade EG for Tyreke, plus Kings 2014 1st. Then, try to sign Iggy?

This offseason is shaping up to be more exciting than the last two seasons.

Like McNamara just tweeted, there is no way the Pels simply extend this offer to Evans. The only way they do it is for a sign and trade because if not, we are in a holding pattern until July 13 and can't do anything until we know what Evans will do.

Right, but I tend to believe the sing and trade will involve Vazquez and not Gordon. And that's only if they can convince Evans to play the 3 spot.
