Anything they have. It is literally the best restaurant in the state.
Any fish fish they do is unreal. If they have the redfish, do not consider anything else on their menu.
Sautéed crab claws as an appetizer is a must. Crab au gratin is equally as succulent.
The Italian dishes are amazing as well.
I'm going to call in the morning to see if I can score a table tomorrow night. I've had a hard on for Sal and Judy's this week after Hey Paul emailed me about it. I know you will enjoy. Be sure to report back on your experience.

The seafood cannelloni is usually a special and it is delicious. The veal cannelloni is equally delicious as an entree. Pretty much everything haha very good restaurant

Love the crab au gratin...but you can't go wrong. Great place.

Redfish w/ nicholas sauce. It is a special and not on the menu.

This. Tell them to bring extra bread because you'll want to drink the cream sauce they come with
Went for Mother's Day and was very impressed.

I'm sorry, is this whole thread a joke?
Sal & Judy's is mediocre at best. It's an Italian chop shop. The last time I went, about a year ago, the food was terrible. My veal dish was cold and overcooked. That isn't easy to do.
This place was created to serve people who haven't experienced Italian food as it was intended.
If you enjoy it. Have at it. I would throw this one into the "Dragged to" thread. My family suggests this place from time to time.
ETA: OP, I would suggest somewhere else.

Th seafood cannelloni is my go to, but the trout almondine is great as well.

The seafood cannelloni is to die for! The cream sauce has just a hint of lemon taste to it. It's also the same sauce used in the crab claw appetizer, which is also great.
Damn...now I want Sal & Judy's.

The menu is like most Italian restaurants in South LA. It's boring to me.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio
simple traditional preparation with garlic and olive oil, served with Italian Sausage and sauteed bell peppers
14.50
Meatballs and Spaghetti
our own light sauce brings new distinction to this favorite
13.75
Italian Sausage and Spaghetti
we make this mild sausage with a hint of spice and a touch of anise
13.50
Veal Pane
the elegant simplicity of pan fried veal dipped in bread crumbs and fresh grated cheese -- served with pasta
25.75
Brucioloni
round steak carefully rolled around a breaded stuffing of cheese, Italian Sausage, and ground beef -- served with pasta
16.75
Canneloni
homemade pasta, stuffed with chopped veal, cheese and herbs. Finished in cream sauce and tomato gravy.
13.75
Baked Lasagne
Sal's mother's own recipe. Layers of meat and cheese.... like none you've ever had
17.75
Spaghetti and Oysters
fresh oysters sauteed with green onions, served over spaghetti aglio olio
15.50
Chicken Cacciatora
a half chicken sauteed in onion, garlic, and white wine, in a sauce made from fresh diced tomatoes $16.75
Spitini
thinly sliced porkloin medallions rolled around ham, provolone, seasoned bread crumbs, and tomato relish, baked and topped with sauteed mushrooms. Served with pasta
It's just not my style of Italian food.
Then, you are served by high schoolers who don't know a damn thing about the menu or dinner service.
I may have overstated my dislike for the place, but there are better Italian options. IMO
At least it isn't expensive.

I'd eat that menu until I weighed 300 pounds.

Your overstatement was greatly overshadowed by

and I'm not making an overstatement.
