I think it's just one. I was looking for something to listen to about Goses(there's hardly anything out there about them it seems) and stumbled on it.

Yesterday afternoon I tapped the Red IPA I brewed a few weeks ago, it really turned out nice, well balanced sessionable IPA.

It's a little more on the caramel side than red, but it's still in the right part of the spectrum. I do think the red wheat gave it a nice spiciness to the base.

Dumped 6 gallons of wine this morning. It had been 18 months and it never developed right. Just tasted really off. I saved a little bit to make some vinegar, but the rest went down the drain. It was an old wine kit someone had given me, so age of the concentrate might have been the problem, or I could have been the problem. I don't know.

Good luck with the great raft comp. You won't have to beat me or my buddy. Buddy drove up there late yesterday, went to pick up the carboys today, was told they were out of wort. That they would have more on Monday. Doesn't help us in btr. Oh well.

Ouch. Hopefully that wasn't the only reason he drove up there.

It was the main reason but his family lives up there. So it's not a total waste

Damn, that sucks... it's pretty obvious what happened here, Great Raft hates Baton Rouge.

Ginger Gose brew day is done. Probably ended up with 6 gallons. Hoping it's tasty.

How are you souring it?

Pitched a 1 L starter of 5335 Lacto in it for a week then I'll finish it up with 1007. Per instructions from Keith at LA Homebrew. Then I kept doing research and saw those same exact instructions at NHC or something recently.

I saw in the FBD thread that you won some golds. Congrats! What'd you win with? tropicale?

Yeah they ran out before we got the wort as well. Now they are giving us Reasonably Corrupt wort today.

Malts: Premium Pilsen, Chocolate, Caramel, Munich
Hops: Fuggles, Hallertauer

...not sure if this will work for a fruited saison...

Yes, we won for TropicAle in fruit beer and our barrel aged RIS for Wood aged category.

Pretty cool.

Hopefully everything is straight with the ones that we sent to Dixie Cup and they have some more success.

I was chatting with the owners at NOOT when he got the phone call that they were out of wort. Oof!

Those are two damn good brews, not a surprise they medaled.
