What IS the limitations on a party barge? I've never seen anyone attempting to cross Ponchartrain or fishing inshore saltwater, and rarely see anyone fishing canals in the spillway with one.

Ive seen a ton of people perch jerking from them. They are big so I imagine any wind and you would have a very hard time controlling it with a trolling motor. We've trolled for bar fish many times on one.
