Well, the two were teammates at LSU. But the patriots on this board think that anti-American sentiment is worse than anti-Human action. Silly.

I never said that. I just said that one really doesn't have anything to do with the other, except for BOTH being pieces of shite.

Does it matter which is worse? I don't see the need to rank which piece of shite is a worse piece of shite than the other piece of shite.

LSU fans leave a lot to be desired...

Thats my point. Some people think so highly of their opinions that they refuse to acknowledge that hating a country isn't as bad as hurting people.

Great job, patriots.

But for the sake of THIS discussion, no other person matters but Mahmoud Abdul Rauf and his actions. That's what we are discussing.

The other person you keep bringing up that doesn't do his other roles as a citizen of this country doesn't matter. But you chose to bring that person up to try and make Rauf seem like a better person.

I mean, what if a murderer kills 4 people instead of a murderer that kills 5? For the sake of your argument I guess you would say that person that killed 4 is better than the person that killed 5, even though they're both murderers.

In your example, both people hurt someone. Mahmoud has hurt no one. He hasn't done anything wrong that amounts to any damage whatsoever.

Killing four people matters. A civilian not liking a country doesn't matter.

And the patriots around here have chosen to pretend that what doesn't matter matters, and that's why they're all being silly.

But I wasn't comparing Mahmoud to the murderer.

I guess you're never going to understand my side and I'm never going to understand why you defend this piece of shite.

Figuring out which person is worse out of a person who disrespects the country by not standing for the anthem or the person that doesn't do his duties as a citizen is just silly. They're both terrible people in my opinion and trying to decipher which is worse is just a way to try and deflect attention away from each one of their negative actions.

I completely understand your position. Mahmoud has an opinion about this country that you don't like. What makes it silly is that you're pretending that your and his opinions are important to the point that you refuse to acknowledge the obvious fact that hurting someone is worse than not liking a country. I completely understand your silly point of view.

I just don't understand how the person hurting someone is relevant. That person doesn't have anything to do with Rauf except but for the sake of your argument of trying to make him appear to be a better person.

doesn't matter if he's a good person. He pulls his weight and stays out of trouble.

The guy "took a stand" in a really poorly conceived manner

He forgot that he was being paid millions to entertain people and when he started pissing on the things those people hold dear, he stopped entertaining them, he became a team distraction, and he was shown the door.

The fact he is still trying to justify such a stupid decision on his part is the real story and defines him.

Your word of the day.

He said it was a mistake on his part to not stand for the anthem in the video. Disagreeing with parts doesn't mean condemning the whole, I believe, is what he had to say about that. I have a feeling all of the nationalist posters in this thread have numerous disagreements with current policies of this government. It is their right to voice them just as it is Abdul Rauf's right to voice his.

+1 for moving this thread to move to PoliBoard

The sad irony is that this self-loathing American criticizes his country for committing the same crimes which his totalitarian cult has perpetrated for 14 centuries. Moslems still kidnap & enslave others to this day (in Sudan & elsewhere) as they have done since the self-proclaimed prophet started their religion. They owned both blacks & whites. Koranic verses approve of their actions. Also, his cult tolerates & promotes other crimes which Americans abhor such as wife-beating, pedophilia & murder.

Good to know Christianity has been in the forefront for the last fourteen centuries in fighting slavery and violence.
