Disagreeing with US policies in the Middle East isn't the same as disavowing your country.also, you can be Muslim and American. The guy "took a stand" in a really poorly conceived manner. Doesn't mean US policies in the Middle East are above reproach.

Very true and I have seen many "good Americans" not stand and/or remove their hats for the National Anthem at games. Some of them have never paid any taxes and get plenty of benefits of living here.
