Playing in Atlanta for like 12 bucks tomorrow, unreal considering how good TT are.

No shite. I went to a show a few weeks ago with TT, American Aquarium and Hayes Carll and tickets were apparently only 15 bucks.

I'm catching their show at the Watermelon Festival next Friday and they are actually opening for Stoney Larue. I find it strange that they are still opening shows considering they are selling out venues.

Me too, but I would happily pay $15+ to see them if I had to. I think the days of free Turnpike shows are coming to an end anyway. They're getting too big.

the song that got my initial attention is Gin, Smoke, Lies.

been wanting to hear more of TT's music since then so I'll take these suggestions.

Will be a sad day if those guys lose their humbleness. The Stillwater scene is starting to hurt for fresh blood.

I dont see that happening. They are the nicest, most down-to-earth guys. Ev can be a little bit of a diva sometimes but he's the lead singer so it's pretty much par for the course

Matt Carpenter of the St Louis Cardinals just walked to the plate to the TT version of Long Hot Summer Day

I've heard about that. That is actually my least favorite TT song...probably because it's the only one that's not an original and I'm such a fan of Evan and RC's songwriting. That guy's got great taste in bands, though :)

8 days until the BR show!

So stoked.

I was waiting for someone to bump this. I'm a big fan of that song. I ended up seeing them in spring. The venue was alright, they put on a good show as always. The patrons were meh

That sucks, that's how I felt the last time I went to a Boland show...he was awesome but the venue and crowd were shitty. The audience really does make a difference. The last few times I've seen Turnpike has been at sold out shows so obviously the crowd was pretty excited and into it.

I am crossing my fingers for a decent turnout at the Varsity but I really don't know what to expect from that show.

Neither do I. I'm hoping for a good turnout but it is The Varsity and Baton Rouge so who knows

I'll be there, plus 4 or 5 buds I turned on to them.

Can't wait. I really, really want to make it to Eady the next night, but I have to work Friday, have a baby that doesn't sleep, a pregnant wife, a wedding the next day, with a golf game before it.

Diamonds and Gasoline is terrific from song 1 to the end.

They worked on that thing a long time and it came out really nice.

I'd like to have seen a guest spot or two from some of the Stillwater guys they played with around here like Clint Osmus, Nick Gibson, Chad Sullins, Steve Rice, or even the strictly local guys that show up at the song swaps and Willie's impromptu jam sessions.
