If we booed him incessantly for years and sent him hate mail... then yeah he would be well warranted to hush the crowd.
One thing you have to remember about Cdns (I am one of them), the inferiority complex is massive... they do not let things go. They have roundly booed her for 3+ years now... over several games. Do it once, voice your opinion and grow up. Instead, they treat her like they treated Brett Hull.
Here is the Canadian mantra - whine, pout and boo for a year. If the player shows any reaction, freak out about them being typical Americans while we are polite little boys and girls (you know booing, sending hate mail, giving the finger etc....)
